Waldek Pupar starts today with his well detailed and beautifully finished 1/72 Italeri Mirage 2000 DWaldek weathered his Mirage and finished it in French camo and markings.

Majd Abbar has done a lovely job building the 1/144 Revell A320.  A combination of kit decals and aftermarket decals were used to finish this Syrian airliner to a very high level of quality.

Tolga Ülgür is here with a truly rare Mk1 Spitfire.  This is his beautifully detailed and weathered 1/32 Hasegawa Spitfire Mk.1a “TuAF” Turkish Spitfires are very rare and it is good to see this one on ARC.

S K Loh has done an impressive job correcting and detailing the 1/144 Mini Hobby Model F-15C.  This is a tiny jet but the quality of effort put into this model complete with the in-flight display is a joy to see.

Carmel J Attard did a flawless job on the 1/72 Aeroclub De Havilland Venom FB1This is a limited run kit and Carmel finished it in RAF markings which look very good.  It's good to see this classic jet on ARC.

Carl Jarosz is here with a beauty of a Phantom.  This is his 1/32 Tamiya F-4D Phantom II finished a skillfully applied weathering and Texas Air Force Reserve: 147th F.I.G. markings.  I really enjoyed seeing Carl's Phantom.

Eighteen years since that horrific morning.  Such a sad event that seems like yesterday.

Waldek Pupar is here with his beautifully finished and weathered 1/72 Italeri Mirage 2000 C DesertI love the desert camo scheme on this jet.

Rob Nieuwenhoven did a massive amount of detailing to this tiny  1/48 ESCI Cessna 172P.  His work included engine detailing and interior detailing and finished it in the colours for a 172 that operated in Australia.  Very good effort on this older kit.

Thomas Ng is here to begin this special Malaysian National Day with his 1/48 Airfix Hawk Mk108 "25th Anniversary"Thomas finished his Hawk with excellent weathering and great looking "Black Panther" Anniversary markings from Fishbone Decals.


Brian "Mr B" Param is also here from Malaysia with his beautifully done 1/48 Kinetic M-346I love the colours of the camo scheme on this M-346.


John Shum is here with his very nicely detailed 1/48 Italeri OH-13 SiouxJohn finished it in Malaysian markings with excellent results.


Ismail Baharuddin did an amazing job building his 1/48 Hobbyboss A-4PTMIsmail used a home made resin nose and other details to create this Malaysian jet.  Excellent work Ismail.  Welcome to ARC. 


John Shum is here with an Australian jet that served in Malaysia. This is his 1/48 Airfix Canberra B.20 with an excellent weathering job that show the s faded camo very well. 


Brian "Mr B" Param is here with three 1/48 Mikro Mir Hunting Percival Provost built as a big project to complete all 3 models.  Brian used custom made decals and checkers that were masked and painted, which is quite difficult to get right.  These 3 models look perfect.  


Nazaruddin Hashim has done a huge amount of scratchbuilding to create his 1/35 Trumpeter Su-30MKM "OVERHAULIN" diorama.  Sit back an enjoy the photos, they are a treat to see.


Thomas Ng detailed his 1/48 Frems MB-339AM using an Eduard detail set and completed it in jungle camo with amazing results. 


Thomas Ng has enjoyed building his 1/72 Hobbyboss Super Lynx 300 Mk 100 with NMA conversionHe found the NazaModelArt (NMA) conversion set to be quite the good conversion set.  His finished model looks fantastic.


CK Loo has chosen an eye catching paint scheme for his 1/48 Airfix Hawk Mk108 "Panji Wira"The markings for this great looking jet are from Fishbone decals and do look gorgeous.


HK Low has chosen hi-vis CO markings from F-4dableModel decals to finish his 1/48 Kinetic F/A-18DI enjoyed seeing this Malaysian markings on an F/A-18.

Tolga Ülgür is here with a very interesting 1/32 Hasegawa P-40K Warhawk “Miss Wanna II”Tolga added detail parts to the cockpit and dressed up the exterior with a new pitot tube and gun sights and finished it with aftermarket decals.  I love the detailing and weathering Tolga did on his P-40.

Polish (Military) Aviation Day

Thomas Brückelt recently had a ride in a vintage P-51.  To remember the occasion he built a model of the exact aircraft using the 1/48 HobbyBoss P-51D Mustang & 1/43 Maisto Ford Mustang 1964.  Thomas has included a link to his flight video and explains the whole build process in his article.  I envy him.


Dragan Cvetic is here with his excellent looking Hawker Hunter.  Dragan used the 1/72 Xtrakit Hawker Hunter T.MK8 which does build into a great looking model in the skilled hands of a modeller such as Dragan.  Markings are for the Royal Navy, which is very pleasing to see.

Patrick Vossenberg starts your week with his very impressive 1/72 HobbyBoss Rafale C.  Patrick used resin and photo etch to dress up the cockpit detailing and then gave his Rafale a full weapons load and a quite amazing weathering job.  This is quite impressive to get this much detail into 1/72.

Michael Hickey is here with his beautifully done 1/48 Eduard Bf 109F-4 Trop.  The 109's that operated in North Africa always looked great to me and it is great to see this one on ARC.

Model shows this weekend:

Ed  "TheRealMrEd" Ellickson is here with one of the rare B-17 prototypes that was outfitted with plenty of extra guns to protect bombers before logn range fighters joined the fight.  This is his 1/72 XB-40 Bomber Escort Conversion with all the extra mods done to perfection.  This was the prototype that eventually led to the B-17G and Ed did an excellent job on it.

Shawn “phantom” Weiler has created quite the sharp looking 1/32 Hasegawa Sabre Mk.5.  Shawn added some resin goodies etc to upgrade the detail on this classic kit and then finished it as a bare metal RCAF Sabre.  Quite the good looking Sabre.

Happy Birthday to my friend Chris Hughes.  Chris and I both have our birthday today.

Shawn “Phantom" Weiler has done an excellent job on his 1/32 Italeri CF-104D Starfighter.  Shawn used some special decals to create the markings for this special Canadian Starfighter and I do like the way it looks.

Martin Kurz has done a stunning job building and weathering his 1/48 Tamiya Il-2 "Shturmovik".  This is a very clean out of the box build, but the weathering takes this model to a whole new level of realism.

Dieppe Raid 1942

Mike Muth begins today with his eye catching 1/32 Wingnut Wings Hansa-Brandenburg W.12.  Mike chose a very complicated looking lozenge camo pattern to finish this 1/32nd float plane.  Mike goes into wonderful helpful detail about the build process for this Great War German Navy float plane.

Dragan Cvetic has done a lovely job building his in-flight 1/72 Hasegawa F-15K ROKAF display.  This is the Korean F-15 with a great looking weathering job and nice and clean with no weapons.

Thomas Brückelt has a passion for gliders and we are honoured to see his latest glider here on ARC.  This is his 1/72 KP Grob Astir CS-77 Jeans.  Thomas added cockpit detailing as well as exterior detailing and finished it in German registration.  Very nicely done Thomas.

Shawn “phantom" Weiler is here with 4 engined bomber that is less well known.  This is his 1/72 Airfix Craft Master Halifax finished in he classic WW2 camo for an RAF bomber.  It is good to see another Halifax on ARC and I quite like the choice of noseart.  Beautifully done Shawn.

Attard starts today with a rare and interesting aircraft.  This is his complicated looking 1/72 Esoteric NAF 28 Fairey IIID in all it's biplane glory complete with rigging and plenty of detail.  Carmel tells the history of this little known aircraft and describes in detail the complete build process.

Dragan Cvetic is here with something you will seldom see.  This is his 1/72 Yumo G-4 Supergaleb finished in a great looking camo and Montenegro Air Force markings.  Dragan added extra detail to the cockpit and chose a very attractive looking camo scheme to complete this gem.

Thomas Brückelt  is here with his very eye catching 1/48 GeeBee R3 – Fictional Racer.  The paint scheme is a what-if paint scheme that looks quite realistic and stunning.  Blue and white always looks good and this Air Racer looks fantastic.  Thomas explains in his article how he got everything done.

Shawn “phantom” Weiler added a resin seat to dress up the cockpit of his 1/32 Hasegawa CF-104 Starfighter.  Shawn finished this gem with Leading Edge decals in a very colourful scheme for 417 squadron.  It's cool to see this Starfighter.

Leslie Choy has been busy and did an exception job modifying to create this stunning 1/48 Aeroclub/ Airfix Hawker Hunter T Mk 75 A.  This list of things done to create this accurate Singaporean Hunter is long and Leslie details the modifications very well in his article.


David Teo has done a first class job creating his 1/144 Revell Singapore Airlines Airbus A330-300 (9V-STC).  David finished his airliner in custom markings for a particular airliner that has fond memories for it's pilot.  Beautiful work David.


S K Loh is a master at building and detailing 1/144 jets.  This 1/144 F-Toys prepainted F-16C with plenty of scratchbuilt parts and finished as an in-flight demo bird wearing special Singaporean commemorative livery done with custom decals.  Sit back and enjoy, this one is a gem.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here with his 1/48 Hasegawa (mostly) CF-14G Tomcat wearing What-if Canadian markings.  Shawn has included certain modifications to his F-14 and he explains all this in his funny story.  Enjoy!!

Carmel J. Attard has done an exceptional job on his 1/72 Rareplanes Lockheed Harpoon.  Carmel is a master when it comes to building the vacuformed kits and reading how he built his Harpoon is a very helpful insight into the world of vacuformed kits and how to build them.  He finished this gem in Brazilian markings.

Cote d'lvoire National Day

Fly-n-hi has been very busy super detailing the 1/48 Hasegawa F-22A Raptor.  This has a resin cockpit, resin wheels, resin exhausts and further scratchbuilt detailing and a very subtle weathering job.  This is an exceptional F-22.  The F-22 looks good from any angle.

Carl Jarosz is here with a P-51 from one of my favorite Fighter Squadrons of WW2.  This is his 1/48 Tamiya P-51B Mustang in the legendary paint schemes of the Blue Nosed Bast*rds squadron.  Carl did some extra work to his Mustang and finished it with D-Day stripes, which just make this beauty look a little bit better.  Lovely work Carl.

Scott Vomacka has done a stellar job on his 1/48 Revell F-84E.  Scott got this amazing finish using bare metal foil and aftermarket decals.  The end result is amazing, I love the colorful markings.

Denis Bugakov joins us with his beautifully detailed 1/48 Hasegawa SAAB J35F Draken.  Denis used detail items from Aires to further improve the detail on his Draken.  Excellent work Denis.

Andrew Desautels is here with the 5th and final Wild Weasel in his series.  This is his 1/72 F-16CJ Wild Weasel "Col. Dan Hampton" with added detailing and finished with a very interesting weapons load and great looking camo and markings.  I have really enjoyed this Wild Weasel series.

Greg Kerry is here with a great airfield diorama for his 1/72 Hobbyboss Lockheed P-38L Lightning.  Greg added extra detailing and created quite the realistic scene.

Andrew Desautels is here with the third model in his Wild Weasel series.  This is his 1/72 F-105G Wild Weasel with a resin cockpit and other modifications to improve on the accuracy of his F-105G Wild Weasel.  Andrew finished it as a Vietnam War jet using decals from 2 different manufacturers including sharks mouth markings.  Andrew explains more of the Wild Weasel history for this jet as well as the improved weapons load.  I'm really enjoying his Wild Weasel series.

Carl Jarosz has done an exceptional job on his 1/144 Skyline Models Boeing 737-400 Western Pacific Airlines “Spirit of Durango” Livery.  This was a complicated build due to the big artwork decals, but Carl pulled it off with skill and determination.  A beautiful build.

Vanuatu Independence Day

I'd like to wish a Happy Birthday to ARC Moderator Mad Mike Happy Birthday Mike!!!

Andrew Desautels starts today with his 2nd Wild Weasel in his series of 5.  This is his 1/72 EF-105F Wild Weasel with many mods to make it an accurate EF-105F Wild Weasel.  Andrew also used the Pavla resin cockpit to improve the cockpit detailing and added a weapons load to show the true purpose of this jet.  Andrew finished it in a SEA camo scheme as seen in Vietnam with a nicely done weathering job.  I'm really am enjoying Andrew's Wild Weasel series and it is interesting to read his background history on these Wild Weasel jets.

Andrew Desautels is here with the 1st of 5 Wild Weasel models.  This is his 1/72 AMT F-100F Wild Weasel with resin seats and finished in SEA camo using a cool choice of colors that Andrew explains in his article.  Andrew tells the story of the early Wild Weasels during the Vietnam War.  Beautiful work Andrew.

Denis Bugakov is here on ARC for the first time today.  This is a flawless and highly detailed build of the 1/48 Hasegawa+Aires A-4F Skyhawk.  Denis added plenty of detail and further detailed his model with so a very very effective mods and then gave this Skyhawk a great looking paint scheme.  Amazing work Denis, welcome to ARC.

Bob TheDoc has put exceptional effort into his 1/72 Eduard MiG-21MF.  This particular build if to mark the 20th anniversary of 'Kargil Vijay Diwas' (Kargil Victory Day).  Bob used some home printed decals to complete the markings on this beauty. 

Bob Leonard joins us today with his heavily weathered 1/72 Hasegawa Martin B-26B Marauder that served in the ETO.  Bob chose the markings for a bomber called "Rat Poison" that survived quite a few missions.  His weathering job looks excellent and shows how busy these bombers were during WW2.

Shawn “Phantom" Weiler  gets things fired up today with his 1/72 Heller Boeing 707 - CC-137 wearing RCAF livery using aftermarket decals.  Shawn chose my favourite paint scheme for his RCAF 707.. 

Dragan Cvetic did a stunning job weathering his 1/72 Special Hobby Mirage F-EQ.  Dragan added scratchbuilt details to the cockpit and a better pitot tube.  The paint scheme and markings are for an Iraqi jet.  I love the look of this F-1.

Egypt National Day

Rodrigo Rendon added plenty of Eduard detail to his 1/48 Hasegawa A-4M Skyhawk and then displayed it in a great looking diorama base that reflects the USAF base in Japan.  Rodrigo added a weapons load using after market goodies and gave his Scooter a flawless weathering job.  Amazing work Rodrigo.

Alfred Calleja starts your week with his first article on ARC.  This is his 1/400 Heller HMAS Melbourne that was a very involved conversion of the  Heller Arromanches kit which was a French carrier that was formerly the HMS Colossus.  Alfred did a huge amount of scratch building and completed this project in the pre-internet days when reference material was limited.  I love how this carrier model turned out and I am honored to welcome Alfred to ARC.  Beautiful work Alfred.

Klaasjan Schuuring has built a great looking 1/32 Special Hobby Hawker Tempest II High Tech.  This is not an easy kit to build due to poor fit, but in the hands of a persistent modeler, it does build into a fine looking Tempest as you will see in Klaasjan's photos.  The addition of extra detailing parts makes this a very interesting kit to build. 

Francisco "Block50" Gutierrez joins us from Chile with his first model on ARC.  This is his amazing 1/48 G.W.H F-15I Ra´amFrancisco had a very busy time detailing, weathering and finishing his beautiful Ra´am which included over 500 stencil decals.

Orlando Sucre Rosales is a very special modeller from Caracas, Venezuela and today he is here with his 1/144 Academy Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina.  This was a challenging build as you will read in Orlando's article, but he stuck with it and created a truly excellent looking PBY.


Mike Krahn has created something very special.  This is his 1/48 Tamiya / Lone Star Models XP-72 with the contra-rotating propeller and a fantastic looking bare metal finish.  Mike also scratchbuilt seatbelts to complete the cockpit.

S K Loh has done an exceptional job on his tiny 1/144 Academy F-16AThis F-16 is displayed as an inflight model with just the perfect amount of markings in the markings for a USAF jet based in Korea.  This is one sweet looking F-16 display.  I love S K's work.

Mike Krahn has done an stunning job on his 1/48 Academy P-47D.  This Jug is finished in tin foil to get the bare metal finish and markings that include nose art.  It's a special treat seeing Mike's P-47 on ARC.

  Battle of Midway (1942)

Ed Ellickson has combined some kit bashing and good old fashioned modelling skills to create his 1/72 YF-105A Thunderchief Conversion.  I love the idea of building this jet and Ed explains the process in his article very well and includes a link on Britmodeller for more info.  A very cool projet Ed.

Bob TheDoc added some seatbelts and finished his 1/72 IBG Models RWD-8 in Latvian Air Force markings.  This is the first  RWD-8 and it is an interesting look at the early monoplane designs.  Beautifully done Bob.

Waldek Pupar  has done a perfect job finishing his 1/72 Italeri/Revell Mirage 2000C Tigermeet.  Waldek chose one of the most amazing paint schemes ever worn by the Mirage 2000 and his skill at painting and weathering made it possible to finish his special model to a very high standard.  A fantastic looking Mirage.

Dragan Cvetic was busy upgrading the cockpit detail on his 1/72 Aircast resin Soko NJ-21 Jastreb. He did add some other detail to improve this little jet and then finished it in Yugoslav markings.  It's very cool to see this on ARC.

Thomas Brückelt starts today with his two beautifully detailed and wonderfully finished 1/48 Academy / CMK AH-6F & MH-6.  Thomas did some exceptional work on both of this choppers and he explains the process in his article.  I love these choppers.

Dragan Cvetic did an amazing job converting the 1/72 Soko IJ-22 Orao to a recce Orao.  This was quite the involved project and Dragan also added scratchbuilt cockpit detailing and detailed the landing gear and added a metal pitot tube before giving it a Yugoslav camo scheme and markings.  This is quite the attractive little jet.

Géza "G'cart" Szekér has done an outstanding job adding scratchbuilt detail to his 1/72 Hasegawa F-106A Delta Dart.  Géza also added some figures and airfield equipment to create a great looking diorama to compliment this great looking F-106. 

Carmel J. Attard is here with another of his vac-u-formed gems.  This is his 1/72 Aeroclub De Havilland DH 83 Fox Moth complete with rigging and civilian registration markings.  This is the first DH 83 on ARC and it is good to see this one here on ARC.

Anniversary of the Chilean Navy and the anniversary of the Iquique´s Naval Combat (South Pacific War, between Chile, Peru and Bolivia)

Gerd Wilcken has done an outstanding job on this conversion.  He started with the 1/72 Revell Kfir C2 and converted it into a Fuerza Aèrea Colombiana C-12. Gerd details the step by step process in his article to get a great looking model of the C-12.

Greg Kerry is here with his refueling scene using the 1/72 Hobbyboss Mi-2 Hoplite.  Greg combined a refueling truck with figures and his Mi-2 Hoplite wearing Polish markings.  Pretty cool looking scene.

Gerd Wilcken starts today with his very attractive 1/72 Zvezda Messerschmitt Bf 109 F-2 (Special decoration) wearing winter camo as it appeared on the Russian front.  Gerd explains the build process in his article and tells about the Bf-109 F2.  I love the look of WW2 aircraft wearing winter camo.


Carl Jarosz has created a very unique F9F-5 Panther.  This is the 1/48 Trumpeter F9F-5 Panther “The Blue Tail Fly” (VF-153) which is a jet made by combining the parts from 2 battle damaged F9F-5 Panthers.  Carl explains the process to create this jet with it's unique combination of markings and in the end Carl pulled it off and created a very unique jet.

Dambusters Raid - RAF bombing of Ruhr Valley Dams 

Dragan Cvetic has done an exceptional job building the 1/72 LM resin Soko J-22 Orao.  Dragan found this kit to have a challenging fit but he stuck with it and produced a great looking model of this rare little jet.  Dragen also added some extra detail to complete his model.

Graham Symmonds has done an outstanding job building his 1/12 Space Helmet Models Buzz Aldrin figureGraham used an original photo of the event to replicate this historical event in human history.  Graham also custom made decals to get his Buzz Aldrin figure looking as close as possible to the real man.  Beautifully done Graham.

Bob TheDoc did an extremely fine job building and finishing his 1/72 Roden LaGG-3.  Bob tells the history of this wooden WW2 Russian fighter and then includes 12 photos of his gem it's summer camo.  Very nice indeed Bob.

Shawn “phantom” Weiler joins us with his 1/48 Revell and Hasegawa F-18C Hornets finished in USN markings.  Shawn has a good selection of Hornets in his display case and it is great to see these on ARC.  Very nice indeed Shawn.

Thomas Brückelt has done a fantastic job adding detail to his 1/72 Revell DHC-6 Twin Otter.  Thomas finished it in the markings for a small Canadian Airline.

Dragan Cvetic did some excellent work improving his 1/72 Zvezda MiG-21bis.  He dressed up the cockpit with a resin seat and scratchbuilt HUD and even lengthened the fuselage.  The markings are for a Cuban jet which look great with this camo scheme.

Patrick Vossenberg starts today with 2 awesome 1/72 Hasegawa F-104G (2x).  Patrick added resin ejection seats to dress up the cockpit and finished them with a lovely weathering job and markings for Taiwan and Greece.  Very nicely done Patrick.

Mike Muth did an outstanding job building and finishing his 1/32 Wingnut Wings Hansa-Branderburg W.29This is the float plane version and Mike explains much about the W.29 and it's history.  This is a stunning model of this early monoplane with it's eye catching camo pattern.

Dragan Cvetic gets this special Israeli update started to celebrate the Israeli Independence Day with his 1/72 Airfix B-17Dragan built this bomber mostly out of the box with the addition of aftermarket decals and modifications to the turret.  I love how the B-17 looks in this camo.

Steve Negley is also here on this special day with his sweet looking 1/48 Kinetic Kfir C7.  Steve built this gem out of the box and finished it with a weapons load and Israeli markings and camo.

Dragan Cvetic added extra scratchbuilt detailing and then gave his Israeli 1/72 Academy P-51D Mustang a great looking camo scheme.  It is a very unique looking Mustang.

Thomas Brückelt has done an excellent job building and weathering his 1/72 KP Avia S-199.  This is a classic fighter used by Israel in the early days and it looks great in the Star of David markings.

Carmel J Attard is here with a very interesting project of a special 1/72 Matchbox Vickers Wellington Mk V prototype.  This is special Wellington required a conversion set and some of Carmel's skilled scratchbuilding skills to pull together but the finished model is quite interesting to see with it's single pilot cockpit etc.  Carmel explains the whole history and build process in his article.


Michael Taylor has done an exceptional job on his 1/48 Hobbyboss A-6A Intruder.  Michael folded the wings and did some extra detailing before using some great looking aftermarket decals to finish his bomber as a USMC bird.  I quite like to look of this Intruder.

Carl Jarosz is here with his excellent looking 1/72 Hasegawa P-3C Orion Centennial of German Naval Aviation.  This is a German Anniversary bird and I quite like the look of the paint scheme.  Carl has provided some very helpful tips for building this kit.  Carl gave his Orion a gentle weathering job to complete it.

Dragan Cvetic went all out superdetailing his 1/48 Revell Spitfire Mk XVIDragan added an engine and full cockpit detailing and much more work.  His finished Spitfire is a delight to see.

George Salerno (Chorse6) did some exceptional old school kitbashing to build and complete his 1/48 Rockwell XFV-12 Prototype.  This is a very cool looking aircraft and I admire George for building one for his display case.  He has some in-progress photos to show how he did it.

Tolga Ülgür starts today with his beautifully weathered 1/48 ProModeler F-102A finished in TuAF markings.  Tolga used aftermarket detail items to9 dress up the cockpit and used aftermarket decals for the national markings.  It's good to see this F-102 on ARC.

Klaasjan Schuuring put some excellent effort into detailing and weathering his 1/48 Eduard (Hasegawa) Typhoon Mk-1b.  Klaasjan tells about the improvements Eduard made on this kit, which makes me keen to build this Typhoon.  His finished model is a treat to see.

My wife and I are heading to the Philippines in a few hours.  We'll be there for 10 days spending time with Angel.  Updates will continue while I'm gone.  Here is a photo of the 3 of us from a couple of years ago.  

Dragan Cvetic is here with his very attractive 1/72 LIft Here LC-126A.  Dragan chose a brightly coloured SAR scheme with the USAF.  This is a resin kit and I live on the coast and love seeing float planes and this one is a beauty.

Carl Jarosz is here with his eye catching and very colorful 1/144 Skyline Model Boeing 737-300 wearing the livery of a US airline from the 1990's.  It's great to see this airliner wearing these decals from Daco Decals. Nicely done Carl. 

Here's a product article for the 1/32 Su-25 PD-62-8 Pylons from Zactomodels.  This set includes one pair of PD-62-8 pylons, launch rail mounting hardware and aileron actuator brackets.  The PD-62-8 pylons were often used on the Su-25.  The pylons are not included in the Su-25 kit, but it does include mounting holes for them (how convenient!).

Jean-Charles Goddet is here with his very eye catching 1/72 Hasegawa Boeing EF/A-18A+ ALA15.  JeanCharles chose a Spanish jet with a 25th anniversary paint scheme for the colourful markings on his Hornet.  I love these Tiger paint schemes.

John "Johnnymac" McCormick did a stellar job building his 1/32 Tamiya Mosquito Mk. VI.  John built it with all the wonderful Tamiya detail on display and I must say it really is an exception scale replica of the real aircraft.

Michael Phillips has done a top notch job on the conversion to make his 1/48 Hobby Boss Su-30MKM Flanker-H - Keeper of KL in Malaysian markings.  Michael used a conversion set and a bit of scratchbuilding and some aftermarket parts to create his Malaysian Flanker and he explains the process in his article.  I love the look of his finished model.

Rodrigo Caselli Belém got everything looking perfect on his 1/48 Italeri TBF / TBM 1 Avenger.  Rodrigo gave the interior all the wonderful detail to make it look great and then gave his Avenger some careful weathering to show off the excellent detail of his bomber.  Lovely work Rodrigo.

Thomas Brückelt is here with a model of a restored 109 in Germany.  Thomas used the 1/72 AZmodel Bf 109G-4 "Red 7" to create this 1/72 replica of this fine looking fighter.  This was good to see and I enjoyed reading this article.

Stéphane Petitjean has done an impressive job building and displaying his 1/48 Anigrand MiG-31 Firefox.  This is a resin kit and Stéphane had some fit issues with this kit but the finished model looks excellent with it's multi shaded paneled finish.  I love the way it is posed in-flight.

El Rey has been very busy adding a huge amount of detail to his 1/48 Revell P-47D "Me Darling"El Rey used a variety of aftermarket items to improve the level of detail on his P-47 and then finished it with an expertly done bare metal finish with great looking markings including nose art.  This P-47 operated in the PTO during WW2. 

Dragan Cvetic has done a first class job finishing and weathering his Yugoslavian 1/72 Italeri MiG-29.  Dragan built this MiG-29 out of the box with subtle weathering.

Paolo Yuen joins us with the first model in Macau markings on ARC.  Paolo used aftermarket and custom made decals and some weathering to give his 1/144 Revell Airbus A319 Macau Air the perfect finish.  I enjoyed seeing this airliner very much.

Greg Kerry has done a first class job completing his 1/72 Zvezda/Revell Mi24 Hind diorama.  Greg started with an already built model and proceeded to create his crash diorama with his usual high level of skill and creativity for dioramas.  Very cool indeed.

Michael Hickey is here with his eye popping Super Hornet in-flight display.   This is Mike's 1/48 Hasegawa F/A-18F wearing some great looking hi-viz markings complete with noseart and crew figures.  Beautiful work Mike.

Klaasjan Schuuring built a very nice example of a Dutch Starfighter using the big 1/32 Italeri TF-104G kit.  Klaasjan explains the build process beautifully in his article.  It's a good looking Starfighter Klaasjan.

Ghana Independence Day

Greg Kerry has pulled together a great looking Me163 diorama.  This is his 1/72 Hobbyboss Me163 with a recovery vehicle and various figures and even period correct transport to complete the scene.  Greg does a great job on all his dioramas and I quite enjoyed seeing this one. 

Michael Phillips has done an impressive job finishing and weathering his 1/48 Zoukei Mura F-4S Phantom II - Stud 200.  Mike rates this kit very highly and his finished model is an absolute treat to see.  I love the camo scheme and weathering.

Spitfire - Maiden flight of Spitfire in 1936

Michael Hickey is here to mark the maiden flight of the Spitfire with his 1/48 Eduard Spitfire Mk. VIIIMike finished his Spit in Aussie markings for an aircraft called Grey Nurse with No. 457 Sqn in Moratai, Borneo in 1945.  Beautiful paint work and weathering completes Mikes Spitfire.

Graham Symmonds is here with a very cool 1/144 Dragon F-14 Launch diorama.  Graham did an especially nice weathering job on his USN F-14 to make it look quite realistic.  I quite liked seeing this diorama.

Carl Jarosz starts today with his beautifully faded and weathered 1/72 Special Hobby P-40N.  This particular P-40 has sexy noseart and served in the Pacific during WW2.  It's good to see a PTO P-40 on ARC as they were rather rare.

Dragan Cvetic has been busy improving his 1/72 Bilek Shenyang J-6.  Dragan rescribed and riveted his jet and then added aftermarket and scratchbuilt detail to the cockpit as well as aftermarket pitot tube before finished up his jet as a Pakastani AF jet.  I love the camo on this one.

Jean-Charles Goddet starts today with his sharp looking 1/72 Hasegawa Boeing F/A-18F TOP GUN 2 movie.  This is of course from the second Top Gun movie and looks excellent with all the movie markings.  Jean-Charles gave it light weathering and finished with markings from an aftermarket decal sheet.  I really enjoyed seeing this F-18 Jean-Charles.

Carmel J. Attard joins us with his very colourful US Navy 1/72 Sierra Scale Models Curtiss Hawk F6C.  Carmel did his usual extra work on his little fighter and finished it in the colourful paint and markings from this early time period.  It's amazing to see this Curtiss Hawk F6C in all it's beauty here on ARC.  Beautifully done Carmel.

Dominican Republic Independence Day

Luqmanul Hakim A.K.A Mee Wan has made an very accurate Malaysian SU-30KM with all the correct modifications.  This 1/72 RMAF Sukhoi SU-30MKM was then given a flawless weathering job.  This Malaysian jet is a treat to see, enjoy the photos.

Thomas Brückelt is here with 2 beautiful scale replicas of the famous vintage German gliders.  These were built with the 1/72 Airmodel Products DFS Habicht E and finished in 2 different paint schemes.  Thomas built one of these for his friend in his local vintage glider club.  It's beautiful to see these 2 models added to the other gliders on ARC.

Kuwait Liberation Day

Patrick Vossenberg did an exceptional job super detailing his 1/48 Hasegawa AV-8B.  Patrick added a variety of aftermarket items along with his own work to take his Harrier to an amazing level of detail and then finished it as a Desert Storm jet complete with a weapons load.  Very impressive work Patrick.

Harv is here with something special today.  This is his 1/72 Heller CL-415 Super Scooper finished as a Canadian firebomber out of the province of Ontario.  Harv used aftermarket decals to finish that classic model to a very high standard.  Excellent work Harv.

Iran - Anniversary Revolution

Dragan Cvetic has taken the 1/72 Special Hobby F-86D Sabredog and finished it to a very high level.  Dragan did some added detailing on the mostly OOB build and finished it using decals from Balkan Models for a Yugoslav Sabre in a great looking camo scheme.

Jens Gerber added some excellent scratchbuilt detailing to his big 1/48 Italeri ACH 47 A Chinook.  Jens also added some aftermarket goodies and finished it as a US Army Chinook.  This one is a beauty.

Sri Lanka Independence Day

Stephen & Lyta Carr are here with Lyta's latest build and quite the impressive build it is.  This is her 1/144 Minicraft Boeing B-17G with scratchbuilt detailing and beautifully finished as a bare metal bomber with only 3 engines running and one feathered.  A very cool model and I'm excited to see Lyta's B-17 on ARC.  Her Dad Stephen has quite the passion for the B-17.

Waldek Pupar is here with his outstanding 1/72 Kovozavody Prostejov MiG-21MF.  This beauty is finished in Somalian markings and a very cool looking camo scheme complete with weathering.  I love it.

Rwanda Heros Day

Model shows this weekend:

S K Loh is here with his stunning in-flight display of 2 WW2 fighters flown by Pappy Boyington.  These are the 1/144 AFV F4U-1A Corsair plus AFV P-40B Warhawk with the Corsair being from the Black Sheep Squadron and the P-40 being with the AVG Flying Tigers.  S K Loh did some amazing work detailing and weathering his Pappy Boyington fighters and the in-flight display is an absolute joy to see. 

Waldek Pupar has done a perfect job on his 1/72 Revell F-4 Phantom.  Waldek finished it as a Greek Phantom complete with drop tanks and missiles.  His weathering job is exceptional.

Majd Abbar is here with the next in his airliner series.  This is his 1/200 Hasegawa Boeing 787-800 beautifully finished in the livery for Qatar.
