1/72 Airfix Stirling

For someone else, a Short Stirling from Airfix. Not a bad kit, but rather dated. Minimal interior, and the good old figures are molded into the guns.

From what little I know of this aircraft. It was designed before the war and had to fit into the tiny hangers of the day. Which meant wingspan of less then 100 feet and very small bomb loads. I did find the 6 inner wing bomb bays rather neat. 

These planes went from heavy bomber to secondary duties rather early in the war as better types like the Halifax and Lancaster took over the heavy lifting.
