Shawn "phantom" Weiler has dropped by with his eye catching 1/48 Hasegawa F-4EJ Phantom #182.  This Japanese Phantom is painted in an Aggressor scheme finished to a very high standard.  Wow check out all the stencils on this beauty.

Ole A. Hoel is here with the Spitfire that started the legend 80 years ago.  This is his 1/72 Airfix Spitfire Prototype 80 Year Anniversary.  Ole used the old school 1/72 Airfix kit with the Aeroclub conversion and then added his own magic to bring this little spitfire to life.....it looks exactly like the original plane.  Excellent job on rescribing the panel lines Ole.

Eric Morningstar did a massive amount of work on his 1/48 Kinetic Alpha Jet.  Eric added a resin cockpit, wheels and a gun pack from Wingman Models and then fully weathered his model and used decals from Caracal Decals to finish it off.  Have a close look at the weathering....it is awesome.

Tolga άlgόr is here with his eye popping 1/48 Hasegawa P-38J Lightning “Journey’s End”.  Tolga added aftermarket goodies to improve the detail and then gave his P-38 one of his very skilled painting and weathering jobs.  Tolga is a pro when it comes to painting and weathering.

Dirk Schenk honours South Africa Freedom Day with his 1/72 Airfix Canberra B(I)12.  Dirk was very successful at getting the paint to the correct shade and sheen to match the sun faded Canberra's from the '70's.  This is Dirks 5th model on ARC and I enjoy seeing his latest models on the ARC homepage.

Patrick Nabinger is here today with his 3rd article on ARC.  This is the out of production 1/72 Airmodel Helio U-10B Courier with some added scratchbuilding.  The beautifully weathered free hand camo is from Vietnam in 1969 and looks very realistic.

Paul Coppin starts your week with a very effective display of the Luftwaffe camo used in Libya during WW2.  This is his 1/48 Eduard Bf109-E7 Trop finished to a very high standard with camo that matches the ground cover.  It's very cool to see the camo scheme on this desert Emil

Shawn "phantom" Weiler added a resin seat to dress up the cockpit of his 1/48 Hasegawa CF-18A Hornet #66.  The markings for his Hornet came from Leading Edge Models and everything was finished with full weathering and drop tanks.  Beautifully done Shawn.

Mack Main starts today with his 3rd article on ARC.  This is Mack's 1/72 Airfix P-51D Mustang in  Lebanese markings in an in-flight display flying over Rayak Air Base in Lebanon.  I love your work Mack.

Emre Tuzun has done a marvelous job finishing and weathering his 1/72 Revell Mirage 2000D.  Emre finished his Mirage as a French Air Force jet complete with stunning weathering.  Beautiful work Emre.

Tolga άlgόr has chosen a very challenging paint scheme for his 1/32 Hasegawa Messerschmitt Bf 109 G10 R2 “Black 12”.  Tolga added resin goodies from a few different companies and finished his 109 with full weathering to match his color reference photo.  Amazing work on the detailing and painting and weathering Tolga.

Burt Gustafson has done a excellent job on his 1/48 Tamiya/Italeri Mk.66 Hawk and finished it as a weapons trainer for the Swiss Air Force.  Burt loaded his Swiss Hawk with blue training sidewinders to show his trainer ready for it's next mission.  It's great to see Burt's Hawk in Swiss markings.

Alex Kontiveis has gone to the highest of high level of scratchbuilding to create a much more detailed and accurate 1/24 Trumpeter A6M2 Zero Fighter.  Grab a coffee or cup of tea and sit back enjoy the article and many photos.....you won't be disappointed.  


Chuck Sawyer is here with his second model on ARC and I must say Chuck picked a favourite of most people.  This is his 1/32 Tamiya F-14D with resin goodies and weathering to give his F-14 that realistic look.....and yes.....it's finished in Jolly Rogers markings.


Andrew Taylor is on ARC for the first time today.  This is Andrew's 1/72 Revell Sea King HAS 6 in Royal Navy markings.  Andrew went a step further and chose a Tiger scheme which always catches the eye.  Very well done Andrew.....welcome to ARC!!!


Rafi Ben-Shahar has done an exceptionally nice job building and weathering his  1/48 Suchoi Su-22M4 "Fitter".  I'm not sure what it is but the paint and weathering job looks excellent on this one.  Well done Rafi.

Pavol Vilinsky joins us today with his 1/72 Revell Eurofighter Typhoon T.1.  Pavol really did his Typhoon up right with Eduard detail items in the cockpit and a scratchbuilt intake to improve this area.  Pavel then finished off this great looking Eurofighter in RAF markings.


Oliver Peissl has gone the extra distance in detailing his 1/48 Dragon Focke Wulf Ta 154.  Between a  photo etch in the aftermarket resin cockpit and other resin detail items and Oliver's skill with an airbrush, this Ta-154 is a beautiful sight to behold.  check it out and sit back and enjoy. 


Tolga Ulgur is here from Istanbul, Turkey with his stunning 1/48 Hasegawa CF-104 Starfighter.  You are all familiar with the high quality of  Tolga's models and this Turkish Starfighter is no exception.  The painting and weathering is flawless and I suspect it looks more realistic than the real jet.  Beautifully done Tolga.  


Laurent “Angus” Beauvais is here to make you grin and let your mind wonder with his Virtual 1/24th D520 3D Mounting notice.  Check it out......it's pretty cool and masterfully done.  


Ken Middleton is here with a very detailed article on how he creates his world renowned Displays Using Wood Bases and Acrylic Rod.  Ken is a master at these in-flight display and with this article you can also master this dramatic display technique.

Shows this weekend include:

Pete Brown starts today with one of my favourite paint schemes on a  chopper.  This is Pete's 1/72 Italeri USCG MH-60J in USCG red and white markings.  Pete added to this fine kit to improve the details and add the proper details.  he tells about all this in his article.  Well done Pete....she's a beut.   


Eric Hargett drops by today with his sharp looking 1/48 Trumpeter F9F-2 Panther.  Eric knows his stuff and he's provided some very helpful info for anyone building a Panther.  Eric dressed up his great looking Panther with some PE seatbelts.  Nicely done indeed. 


Jonathan Fco Umaρa Seravalli is here with his 1/48 Revell Monogram A-10 Warthog.  Jonathan loaded his Warthog up with a  full weapons load and finished her off in the gray scheme with a menacing Sharks Mouth.  It's a treat to see Jonathan's A-10 on ARC.  


Ray Hemenway is here with one the the better known aircraft designs from WW1.......this is the 1/28 Revell Fokker Dr 1 425/17.  This is a large kit and Ray took advantage of this by adding some scratchbuilt details.

George Ting is here with today's first model.  This is his 1/144 Revell B747-400 finished up in Thai Airways markings.  George did some extras work to improve some of the inaccuracies on his Jumbo Jet.  A very attractive airliner.....good to see it on ARC.   


Jose Maria Martinez Fernandez has done a fine job building and finishing his 1/48 Hasegawa Fw-190 A-3.  Luftwaffe paint scheme are difficult to do but Jose made his Fw-190 look excellent. 


Gregory D. Williams  is here to make you jet builders grin.  This is his very well detailed 1/72 Italeri F/A-18D.  Gregory scratchbuilt a variety of items for his Hornet that he will be offering for sale.....this should interest the 1/72 modellers.  


Noel Saplala has been busy adding piles of detail to his 1/48 Tamiya F4U-1D.  WOW....check out the job Noel did on the cockpit.  From the engine to the cockpit....this model has detail everywhere.

Soccer Wu has done a wonderful job finishing and weathering his 1/48 Hasegawa F-104G.  I enjoyed seeing a Starfighter in markings for the Republic Of China (Taiwan) Air Force.  This really is a sharp looking F-104.   


Alfredo Garcia joins us from sunny warm Monterrey, Mexico with his 1/48 Tamiya A6M2 & A6M2-N.  Alfredo has a real talent for modelling and you will see that in these 2 latest models.  Alfredo scratchbuilt cockpit details and did some panel line rescribing to get both of these Japanese fighters looking just right.     


Bob Leonard has gone to great lengths on detailing his 1/48 Eduard Mirage 2000N.  Bob explains the fit issues and how he sorted out that problem plus all the extra work and detail items he added to his Mirage 2000.  Wow......reading Bob's article has me in deep respect for the effort he put into this model......with excellent results I might add.

I arrived safely in the Philippines....I'm spending the remaining part of the day settling into my hotel and recovering from the jet lag and 9 hour time change.  I don't have an internet connection and I'm working on getting that sorted out so I can update ARC.

Jens Gerber starts today with he beautifully painted and weathered 1/48 Eduard Bunny Club Limit Bf 110 C6.  Jens scratchbuilt some of the finer details to improve his model and then finished his 110 in the markings it wore when fighting in Libya.  Everything looks perfect, including that complicated camo scheme.  Well done Jens.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here with his eye catching 1/48 Hobby Craft CF-100 Canuck Mk V wearing a bare metal finish and markings from Canuck Decals.  As an added bonus, Shawn has posted a photo of 6 of his CF-100 Canucks.  I love it!!!

Emre Tuzun joins us from Turkey with his very special 1/72 Revell Dornier Do 28D2.  Emre gave his Donier 28 his special treatment when it came to the finishing and painting.  It is wearing the Luftwaffe camo and Turkish markings as was seen on the full sized aircraft.  He added extra details to the exterior and finished up with post shading to complete the weathering.  It is great to see this Turkish Do-28 on ARC.

Dragan Cvetic is here with a gem of a model.  This is his 1/72 Dragon Jian Ji-2 wearing Chinese camo and some additional detail in the cockpit and well and gun barrels.  This is China's version of the MiG-17 and I very much like how it looks in this camo pattern.

Tolga άlgόr is here with his excellent looking 1/32 Hasegawa Messerschmitt Bf 109G6 in a very unique finish.  Tolga dressed up the cockpit to his usual high level with help from Aires and he also used detail items from Master, Quickboost and Barracudacast and finished off his fighter with a bare metal finish and weathering for the exhaust stains.  The markings for this very unique 109 came from EagleCals.

Ulysses Almeida is here with something you won't see very often.  This is his 1/48 Revell MiG 25 PU which is a MiG 25 with an added cockpit in front of the regular cockpit to make a training aircraft.  Ulysses used a Neomega cockpit set for the additional cockpit set and then got busy making the modifications to pull this amazing project together.

Senegal Independence Day

Juan Jesϊs Moreno joins us from Spain with his battle weary 1/48 Trumpeter MiG-3.  Juan enjoyed building this kit and found it to be off excellent quality.  The trick to building WW2 Russian aircraft is to weather them to reflect the rough conditions the aircraft fought in and Juan did an outstanding weathering job on his MiG-3 fighter. 

Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here with a legendary Canadian aircraft.   This is Shawn's 1/48 Hobby Craft CF-105 Avro Arrow in the markings for Prototype #4.  Shawn has skill and knowledge when it comes to building the Arrow and I know you will all enjoy seeing it.  Beautiful work Shawn.

Paolo Yuen has been very busy detailing and weathering his stunning 1/72 Hasegawa F-16E Fighting Falcon.  Paolo added a resin cockpit set and a photo etch set to add a wonderful level of detail and then finished it with a flawless weathering job and markings for the United Arab Emirates and a full weapons load complete with drop tanks.

Burt Gustafson is here with his sharp looking 1/48 Hasegawa P-40E Warhawk.  Burt dressed up the cockpit with some seatbelts and finished it in the markings for an American P-40E of the 9th FS, 49th FG, Australia, the summer of 1942.  I love the look of this Warhawk complete with the sharks mouth on the nose.
