Messerschmitt Bf 109G6 Red 8 ”Mosquito chaser”

This is Kurt Gabler's Messerschmitt Bf-109G 6 Red 8 III./JG300, in July 1944. Red 8 was a standard camouflaged machine with a 'stripped-down' (sanded) finish for an extra turn of speed. But there are still some areas of paint over the airframe like wing roots.

I used the standard Hasegawa 1/32 scale Bf 109G-6 kit. Cockpit modified by Aires cockpit set. Cockpit components painted to RLM66.

Horizontal tail surfaces replaced by Master detail set.

Last modifications are:

  • Quickboost exhausts

  • Barracudacast spinner and main wheels

Painting was done with Alclad lacquers.

Decals are from EagleCals EC#88 Bf-109Gs JG300 part 1 decal set

Happy modeling.
