Peter Doll is here with something very unique for our bare metal Master.  This is his 1/32 Revell Hunter F. Mk. 6 in very eye catching blue and  RAFG (RAF Germany) Hunter  "Blue Diamonds" Aerobatic Team in 1961.  The Hunter is a beautiful jet and Peter's model makes the Hunter look even better than usual.  

Rodrigo AD dropped by the ARC Corporate Offices in El Salvador with his super detailed 1/35 MRC Bell OH-58D Kiowa Warrior.  Rodrigo used quite a few aftermarket sets and then further detailed his big Kiowa Warrior with his stunning scratchbuilt detailing.  His finished model is a delight to see here on ARC.

WW1 Events - this date in 1917

Emre Tuzun starts today's update with his eye catching 1/48 Hasegawa F-4F JG 74.  This Luftwaffe interceptor has an air to air loadout with 3 drop tanks.  The cockpit is improved with resin ejection seats with added ejection seat handles, plus a metal pitot tube and stunning aftermarket decals from AirDocs in Germany.  The weathering is stunning and the completed model is a feast for the eyes....what a joy it is to see this Phantom.

Thomas Brückelt is here with his awesome in-flight display 1/72 Amodel Christen Eagle I - Smoke on!!!  This is the single seat Aerobatic modern biplane all adorned in it's colourful paint scheme.  Thomas rigged his model as it would appear at an airshow with smoke coming out the tail.  The model and especially the smoke is very realistic.

WW1 Events - this date in 1917

Dragan Cvetic has done a spectacular job on his 1/72 Kinetic F-16I SUFA.  Dragon dressed up the cockpit area and then gave his jet one of those great looking Israeli camo schemes and finished it all off with panel line weathering to bring out the details.  I love the loadout.

P.B. has done an impressive job on his 1/48 Scratch-built RQ-7B Shadow + 1 Marine.  He has included photos of the build process which help explain what was involved to build this gem.  Beautiful work P.B.

WW1 Events - this date in 1917

Frederic Cottin is here with his beautifully weathered 1/48 Hasegawa A-4E Skyhawk.  Frederic's A-4 is wearing the hi-viz markigns from the Vietnam War and carrying a proper weapons load that shows the purpose of this little jet.  Beautiful work Frederic.

Carmel J. Attard joins us from Malta with his 1/72 Frog Martin Maryland wearing Armee de l’Air markings.  Carmel took this classic kit and turned it into a jewel of a model of this WW2 bombers.  He has included some very interesting history and stories of the Maryland as well as what was involved to build his exceptional Maryland model.  I love it.

Giannis Doxas joins us from Greece on the Hellenic holiday with his 1/48 Hobby Boss TA-7C Corsair.  Giannis used the Aires resin cockpit and wheel bays and then added a huge amount of scratchbuilt details.  He then finish this Hellenic masterpiece with a beautifully weathered camo scheme.  Enjoy the photos.

Dragan Cvetic joins with his Hellenic 1/72 Italeri Mirage 2000 EGM.  Dragan scratchbuilt the cockpit details and then chose a very attractive blue camo scheme finished using Icarus decals.  A center tank and missiles complete this beauty.

Metz joins us today with his first model on ARC.  This is his flawless 1/48 Hasegawa A6M2a model 11 Zero and as you will see in his photos, Philip has some seriously skill.  I love the treatment he gave the upper wing, very effective with a  fascinating background story you can read in his article.  Welcome to ARC Philip.

Kees Kuyper is here with a truly creative design today.  This is his Arado Adler (Eagle), which is a combination of the Horten flying wing and the Buckeye.  This design looks so natural.....amazing work Kees.

Gerd Wilcken starts today in style with his 1/72 Trumpeter MiG-29SMT (Izdeliye 9/19) wearing a Russian gray-blue three-tone splinter camouflage scheme.  Gerd has high praise for this kit and you can see that is the photos of his flawless model.

Rob Haelterman is here with something rare today.  This is his 1/144 Eduard Spitfire Mk.IX paint up in the special "Zirkus Rosarius" captured paint scheme.  Although this is 1/144, Rob still added extra detailing...you just have to admire that.  Rob also gave his captured Spitfire a weathered paint job.

Belgium Terrorist Attack 2016 

WW1 Events - this date in 1917

Tigre del Aire dropped by the ARC Corporate office in Colombia with his classic 1/72 Testors Douglas F4D.  This is a classic kit that was improved in the cockpit by Tigre and did require some putty to close the fuselage hales.  But the finished model looks great in it's hi-Viz markings.  I love it.  Gracias.

Victor Rene Carlos joins us from the Philippines with his beautifully weathered 1/72 Hobby Boss Ah1-F Cobra.  Victor has a passion for this Hobby Boss kit and I loved how well this one turned out in it's USMC markings.  Well done Victor.  Salamat po brother.

Carmel J. Attard has done a stellar job on a gem of a kit.  This is his 1/72 Khee-Kha Art Products CH-300 Pacemaker.  This is a vac-u-formed kit with resin floats that builds into a great model of this pre-WWII passenger aircraft.  Carmel tell the history as well as the build process and even the sad fate of the particular CH-300 his model replicates.  This is wonderful to see Carmel.

Shawn “phantom” Weiler joins us with a beauty today.  This is his big and beautiful 1/32 Revell F-4F Phantom #189 finished off in German markings for a Luftwaffe Phantom.  Shawn gave it  a gentle weathering to better show this fighter as it really looked.  I really like this look of this Phantom and I appreciate the history of this particular Phantom Shawn chose to model.

Frank Steffens starts today's update with his first article on ARC.  This is Franks stunning bare metal and fully weathered 1/48 Tamiya Hi-61I Hien.  Frank has mastered the fine art of bare metal finishes and his article beautifully explains the process he used on his Tony.  I love this Ki-61 Frank and I'm excited to see it on ARC.

Thomas Brückelt joins us from Germany with his exciting in-flight 1/72 Heller F-104G Starfighter.   Thomas chose a Luftwaffe jet using the classic Heller kit.  I'm not sure why but the Starfighter always looks good in German markings and this Starfighter by Thomas looks exceptional.

WW1 Events - this date in 1917

Thomas Dziedzic joins us with his second model on ARC and this 1/48 Hobby Boss FJ-4b Fury is a beauty.  Tom built it mostly out of the box with some photos etch to dress up the cockpit and hi viz markings for a USMC bird.  Tom finished it all off with a gentle wash to highlight the panel lines.  I love seeing Tom's latest model on ARC.

Shawn “phantom” Weiler joins us with his second SAR Griffon.  This is his 1/48 Italeri CH-146 Griffon SAR with modification [parts from Belcher Bit and finished off in the bright SAR markings fir 417 squadron markings from CFB Cold Lake using Canmilair decals.  Shawn has included a photo of his other SAR Griffon.  Wonderful work Shawn.

WW1 Events - this date in 1917

Kitti Tatsumaki starts today with a stunning build of the 1/72 Hobbyboss F-14D VF-2 Bounty Hunter.  Kitti added detailing to the cockpit and landing gear before turning to applying the fantastic weathering job on this F-14.  USN jets get pretty dirty during their multi-month deployments and this F-14 captures that wonderful weathered look perfectly.  Beautiful work Kitti.  

Andrea Pomettini joins us with his stunning 1/48 Fujimi Messerschmitt Bf109 G14 in a very complicated and attractive camo.  Andrea detailed the cockpit and opened the door on the fuselage radio compartment to add an extra level of detail. Wonderful work Andrea.

Shawn “phantom” Weiler starts the week with his being eye catching 1/32 Academy MH-60S.  Shawn has a passion for the squadron markings for CVW-8 which look excellent.  Shawn's chopper is loaded up and ready for battle.  This much be quite the sight in person.

Dragan Cvetic is here with his very eye catching 1/72 R.V. Aircraft MiG-21 MF in the camo scheme of the Egyptian Air Force.  Dragan added  a pitot tube along with some detail upgrading in the cockpit.  His finished Fishbed looks flawless.

Carmel J. Attard joins us from Malta with another aircraft that operated from there.  This is his 1/72 Frog Baltimore with a beautifully upgraded interior thanks to Carmel's scratchbuilding skills.  The exterior is finished in a  silver finish.  Included in Carmel's article are photos from long ago on Malta showing Baltimores.  It is a treat to have this Baltimore model on ARC.

Gary Hatherly has put months of work into detailing and finishing his 1/48 Zouki Mura F-4J Phantom VF-84.  Gary used Eduard seats and Pitot tubes from Master along with Jolly Rogers decals from Furball.  Gary's weathering job is stunning.  

Alacran joins us from Patagonia with his 1/72 Airfix Cessna L-19 Bird Dog wearing Chilean markings.  Alacran added extra details from Pavla and Airwaves and followed that up with scratchbuilt detailing.  I love the look of this little Bird Dog

WW1 Events - this date in 1917

Serge Dompierre is back today with his stunning 1/48 Academy/Revell Canadair CL-13 MK-2 (F-86).  Serge made his Canadian Sabre to match a vintage colour photo you can see in his article.  Serge combined the Academy and Revel kits to produce his special Sabre and then finished it using markings from different sources.  A very well done model that matches the vintage photo.  Well done Serge.

Kees Kuyper is here with a  "what-if" solar powered bi-plane glider called the Kuyper Flystar.  This combines  quite a few design features and actually looks quite realistic as well as futuristic.  Kees has talent for what-if models and I always enjoy seeing his latest design on ARC.

WW1 Events - this date in 1917

Sertac Bayar starts today with his 1/32 Trumpeter Su-27B Flanker (Rebuild).  This model was dropped and suffered some damage which Sertac fixed and then finished it off in a great looking camo scheme.

Carmel J. Attard did an outstanding job on his 1/72 Italeri Kaproni KB 309 Papagal.  This is the Bulgarian version of an Italian aircraft and Carmel did the modifications to make this unique Bulgarian version.  Carmel details the process in wonderful detail and provides in-progress photos as well as photos of his attractive finished model.  Beautiful work Carmel.

Bernard Lapeyrie "poutre" did a stunning job on his 1/48 Eduard Spitfire F.22.  Bernard's Spitfire has a beautifully done cockpit and is finished in a delicately weathered camo scheme that looks perfect from every angel.  Magnificent work Bernard.

Dragan Cvetic is here with another of his 1/72 beauties.  This is his 1/72 Italeri SAAB Jas-39 Gripen in South African markings with added seatbelts and a pitot tube.   I'm always impressed by the added cockpit work Dragan does on his 1/72 models.

Dragan Cvetic starts today with his very attractive 1/72 Eduard L-39 Albatros wearing Iraqi camo and markings.  Dragan has much praise for this Eduard kit.  He added seatbelts and pitot tubes to finish this beauty. 

Curt Waffle has taken the 1/48 Classic Airframes Fairey Gannet to a detail level seldom seem on a  model.  Curt is famous here on ARC for adding massive amounts of detail and then cutting away parts of his model to better show all his glorious scratchbuilt detailing. 

Micheal Change is here with his first model on ARC.  This is his  1/48 Academy Mirage III in weathered black and white markings for the Swiss Air Force.  Beautiful work Michael, welcome to ARC.

Gary Hatherly has done an extensive amount of detailing and scratchbuilding on his big 1/32 Tamiya F-4C Phantom Wild Weasel “ Brain Damage”.  Gary detailed the cockpit, wheels well, exhausts and many more areas before giving his Phantom the SEA camo with the noseart and markings for “Brain Damage”.  This was a massive project and turned out looking excellent. 

Kees Kuyper is here with some additional photos of his very creative Dornier Dusseldorf jet transport.  This is a combination of 2 different models.  I love the camo scheme on this one.

Carmel J. Attard joins us in style with his 1/72 Azure PZL P-24B/E in Romanian markings. Cermel did a conversion to convert his PZL P-11 into a P-24.  He details the process in his article and includes photos of the conversion.  His finished model is wearing Romanian markings and he also included photos of one wearing Bulgarian markings as well as the history of this type of aircraft in battle.  This is a very cool project, it looks so easy when Carmel does it.
