Just off the bench,  Mitsubishi A6M2b Zero, Tainan Kokutai.  This aircraft was flown by NAP1/C Saburo Sakai on December 8, 1941.  Sakai was flying "V-107" on the first day of the war when he arrived over Clark Airfield, Luzon, Philippines at 12:28pm at an altitude of 22,400 ft as his unit flew fighter escort to Japanese Navy twin engine land based bombers that attacked the airfield.

Built OOB, all markings were masked and painted. Tail numbers and aircraft factory stencil were from spare decals. Painted with own mix of Mitsubishi Grey Green using lacquer paints.
