Here's a nightmare project I started last year for a coworker. I agreed to do up a 1/48 Sea King with rotors and pylon folded. It all started innocent enough... except that the navy kept interrupting my efforts. The little time I had was spreading pretty thin, and special attention was required to pull this off. In other words, I had to fill the helo with detail that could be seen from the front and side windows.

I took some pics of the interior work a number of months ago. They're on my wrecked hard drive. Yay. You'll just have to imagine the lifejacket, seats, bulkheads etc that I scratchbuilt. They're buried inside, visible by flashlight but not by camera...

I used Belcher Bits resin parts for the sponsons, radome, crash beacon, and sono tubes. I had to scratchbuild the FLIR and mount with styrene and putty, thankfully I borrowed an earlier build from a buddy to measure up to. Belcher Bits decals on Tamiya paint rounded out the effort. The tow bar and chocks are styrene extras I made for effect.
