These
are my V-Bombers in 1/72 scale. The Handley Page Victor K.2 is from Revell and
the Avro Vulcan B.2 is from Airfix. Both were built straight out of the box. The
Revell Victor shows an aircraft from the 55th squadron in Marham after Operation
Desert Storm. I used Revell enamel colours for my Victor. The mixtures of the
colours were made from the building plan and from colour photos. The Airfix
Vulcan shows the aircraft from the 9th squadron in Waddington during 1977. For
this camouflaged aircraft I used humbrol enamel colours. For the upper fuselage
I used No. 163 and No. 164 2:1 No. 34, for the lower fuselage I used No. 64.

The
V-Bombers are my favourite’s aeroplanes for many years, building 3 different
bombers for the Royal Air Force (Valiant, Vulcan and Victor) for the same reason
is a paradise for a modeller like me.
For
my V-Force I made a lot of research in Books and the internet, so I hope my
models looked a little bit like the original. Both kits are very old, so a lot
of sanding and filling was required.
