Mauritania Independence Day

Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here with quite the good looking 1/32 Hasegawa CF-104 Starfighter.  Shawn added some Eduard photo etch to improve the detail on his Starfighter and then finished it in an early Canadian partial baremetal scheme.  This one is quite the looker Shawn.

Jens Gerber dropped by the  Deutschland ARC Corporate Office today with his 1/48 Eduard Profi Fw 190 A8.  Jens built his 190 in a late war scheme for a fighter with JG 300 Jüterborg in December 1944.  Jens got this well detailed Eduard 190 looking excellent and the paint work is exceptionally well done.

Kees Kuyper is here with another of his very creative "what-if" models.  This is a long range German WW2 bomber based on a B-29 model kit with plenty of design changes to make it look more like a Luft '46 bomber design.  I like the look of this one.

Happy Thanksgiving Day to all the Americans.  Enjoy your time with family and friends.

L.C. Chan is here with a very interesting model today.  This is the 1/48 Hasegawa F-22A 'Starscream' with custom made markings for one of the Decepticon in the Transformer movie.  Wow....you really have to see the detail in the markings on this very special F-22.

Gerd Wilcken is here with his excellent looking 1/72 Airfix Focke-Wulf Fw 190 F-8.  Gerd chose a great looking green/gray/green camo pattern and finished it off using Authentic Decals.  I like the look of this 190.

Sean Langley has been very busy super detailing his 1/48 Heller Mirage 2000C.  Sean used a resin cockpit, canopy, control surfaces and wheels from Pavla and detail items from Master on this project and then poured in time and patience on his part to end up with a first class model of this older Heller kit.

Adriano Souza is here today with one very eye catching 1/48 Academy SU-27 SMK Flanker.  Adriano used Begemot Demo Flankers decals and some very skillful painting to get his Flanker looking just right.  This one is a beauty.

Victor De Jesus is here with his first biplane and what an exceptional job he did.  This is the big 1/32 Hobbycraft Sopwith F-1 Camel finished in all the delicate looking splender that this classic fighter was famous for.  Victor made wood grain decals and then carefully applied them to the wooden parts to get a very high level of  realism.  His finished model is a treat to see.....it's hard to believe it's been about 100 years since the Sopwith Camel took to the air over the trenches of the Western Front.

Chris Parsons has put quite a bit of effort into building his 1/32 Dragon Bf 110 G Night fighter.  Chris converted the Dragon Bf 110 D to a G Night fighter using the Large Scale Conversions resin set and added the highly detailed radar antenna from Master.  This build involved plenty of effort and the paint job certainly looks like the real aircraft.  A perfect job Chris.
