Aircraft Overview:
Aircraft TP280, is a Spitfire FR Mk. XVIIIe, owned by Rudy Frasca, and is painted as flown by Sqn Ldr Wilfred Duncan-Smith, DSO, DFC of the 60 Squadron, in Malaya, in 1948. This action in Malaya, was the last time that the Spitfire fired its guns in anger. (Reference, "Spitfire, Flying Legend", by John Dibbs and Tony Holmes.
