This new decal sheet from IsraDecal includes markings for a large variety of 1/48 F-16C/D Baraks including markings for the 60th Anniversary of 'The Valley' squadron.  The serial numbers are individual numbers that you can mix and match to create almost any Barak you choose.

You get enough national insignia to build 2 aircraft and with more national insignia I think you could build more than 2.

The instruction booklet contains 8 glossy pages with profiles for 12 aircraft from 5 different squadrons.  These 12 F-16C/D are block 30 and 40 aircraft and include the following:

  • F-16C Block 30 number 360, "The First Jet" Squadron.  Camo is sand, light green and brown on top and gray on the underside.

  • F-16C Block 30 number 332, "The First Jet" Squadron in July 2008.  Camo is sand, light green and brown on top and gray on the underside.

  • F-16C Block 30 number 378, "Knights of the North" Squadron in Apr 1990.  Camo is sand, light green and brown on top and gray on the underside.

  • F-16C Block 30 number 364, "Knights of the North" Squadron in Apr 2007.  Camo is sand, light green and brown on top and gray on the underside.

  • F-16D Block 30 number 055, "The Valley" Squadron in Sept 2001.  Camo is sand, light green and brown on top and gray on the underside.

  • F-16D Block 30 number 074, "The Valley" Squadron in Apr 2011.  Camo is sand, light green and brown on top and gray on the underside.  Includes markings for the 60th Anniversary of 'The Valley' squadron.

  • F-16D Block 30 number 023, "The First Fighter" Squadron in Sept 1989.  Camo is sand, light green and brown on top and gray on the underside.

  • F-16C Block 40 number 557, "The First Fighter" Squadron in 2005.  Camo is sand, light green and brown on top and gray on the underside.

  • F-16D Block 40 number 673, "The First Fighter" Squadron.  Camo is sand, light green and brown on top and gray on the underside.

  • F-16C Block 40 number 508, "The First Fighter" Squadron.  Camo is sand, light green and brown on top and gray on the underside.

  • F-16D Block 40 number 678, "The Scorpion" Squadron.  Camo is sand, light green and brown on top and gray on the underside.

  • F-16C Block 40 number 503, "The Scorpion" Squadron.  Camo is sand, light green and brown on top and gray on the underside.

The 8 pages of instructions are clear and include 1 color side profile plus a generic top and bottom view showing camo layout and decal placement.  The instructions also explain the difference regarding Block 30 and Block 40 F-16C/D so you can get the finer points correct.

The decals are beautifully printed on 1 decal sheet and one insert decal sheet. Aircraft  from the "Knights of the North" Squadron have the outline of a Hawk painted on both sides of their tails and this decal set includes a painting mask for painting that Hawk and getting it right.

IsraDecal always pays attention to the fine details that make a product great and I'm pleased to say this latest F-16C/D Barak sheet lives up to their well established reputation for offering quality product.  This is an excellent sheet and just what you need to build a colorful and accurate F-16C/D Barak.

I would like to thank IsraDecal for providing me with this review sample.
