--------------------

This new decal sheet from Barracudacals includes markings for 3 different P-47 Thunderbolts....all with noseart including 2 with sexy noseart.

The 3 aircraft are all baremetal 9th Air force Jugs with full or partial D-Day stripes.

  • P-47D-25-RE ser. # 42-26742 "Kansas Tornado II", 510th FS with the 405th FG, 9th Air Force.  Bare metal aircraft with a dark blue engine cowl ring, canopy frame and dark blue stripe on the tail.  Noseart is a scary looking Tornado storm with teeth and a mean looking face.  This plane has 4 victory markings and many mission markings and partial D-Day stripes on the underside.  Flown by Capt. Howard Curran in France in the fall of 1944.

  • P-47D-27-RE ser. # 42-26860 "Angie", 512th FS with the 406th FG, 9th Air Force.  Bare metal aircraft with a yellow engine cowl ring and red/ blue/yellow stripes on the tail.  Noseart is a sexy looking lady in shorts, a bikini top and high heels. This plane has partial D-Day stripes on the underside.  Flown by Col. Anthony Grosetta in Belgium in early 1945.

  • P-47D-27-RE ser. # 42-26922 "Little Ann", 512th FS, 406th FG, 9th Air Force.  Bare metal aircraft with a yellow engine cowl ring and red/ blue/yellow stripes on the tail.  Noseart is a sexy looking blonde topless lady in shorts. This plane has partial D-Day stripes on the underside.  Flown by an unknown pilot in Belgium in early 1945.

The instructions are clear and include 3 views of each aircraft.  The decals are beautifully printed on 1 decal sheet with 2 additional insert decal sheets.  You also get one complete set of stencils with instructions and line drawings showing stencil placement.  The 4 pages of instructions include all you need to install these fine looking decals.  The quality of the decals is top rate and in perfect register.

I have always enjoyed seeing decals of these brightly coloured USAF fighters that brought liberty to Europe during WW2......this sheet includes 3 aircraft well worth building.
