This decal sheet from Twobobs.
This is another in the Twobobs
series of decals featuring aircraft from the various USAF Fighter
Weapons Schools. This sheet features markings
for two complete F-15E's from the 57th Wing of the Nellis AFB
Fighter Weapons
School. The Air Force originally activated 57th Fighter Wing on 20
September 1948 up in Alaska. On 15 October 1969, the Air Force
activated the wing as the 57th Fighter Weapons Wing, stationed at Nellis
AFB with a new mission: providing graduate-level fighter pilot training
and demonstration of tactical fighter weapons systems and tactics using
F-4, F-100, F-105, and F-111 aircraft. The mission of the 57th
Wing is to provide advanced aerospace training to worldwide combat air
forces and showcase aerospace power to the world.
Both of these jets are
both overall FS 36118 Medium Gunship Gray with black markings. One
jet has a white outline for the big "WA" and numbers on the
tails. Both Strike Eagles on this sheet has yellow and black
checked fin flashes at the top of the tails. Two complete set of
stencils is included along with 2 full sets of formation lights.
One the inside of the tails on one of the jet is artwork of a bald eagle
with wings flared and talons extended. One the side of the
conformal fuel tanks is the 57th wing badge and one the tails is the Air
Combat command shield.

The instructions are clear and
include 4 views of each aircraft. The decals are beautifully printed on 1
decal sheet. Paint codes are called out in FS #'s, Testors MM,
Humbrol, Gunze Sangyo and Xtracrylics.
I
always get a kick out of seeing the F-15E Strike Eagle and the
instruction sheets contains 7 color photos of the F-15E's in
action. The instructions also include 4 view color drawings
of these jets showing stencils placement and these jets are
covered with stencils.
The decals are the
usual high quality we have come to enjoy from Twobobs.
Special thanks for
marking this sheet possible goes to Don Logan and all the fine
folks at the fighter Weapons school.
I would like to thank Twobobs
for this review sample.
This sheet is available through
the Twobobs
website and select US Hobby Shops. Overseas customers can purchase these from
Twobobs site or through Twobobs network of overseas distributors.
