--------------------

Here's a review of a new 1/48 sheet from Twobobs.

Two aircraft with full-color nose art are represented on this sheet.  Enough markings for two complete jets from the 131st Fighter Wing of the Missouri Air National Guard based in St. Louis.

  • F-15A MSIP Upgrade "Spirit of St. Louis" 74-113  May 2005
  • F-15A MSIP Upgrade "Spiderman" 75-065  May 2005

Recommended Kits:

  • Hasegawa F-15A/C
  • Academy F-15C
  • Revellogram F-15A/C
  • Tamiya F-15A/C

The decals are beautifully printed, and are clear and sharp. The white markings are nice and bright. Some of the markings are 2 piece decals, ensuring proper color and registration. The nose art decals are on a smaller, separate sheet.

Jet 74-113 has main gear door names as well, and are very small. The 3 names can be found between the small "113" and the red tail band.

The jets feature the MOD Eagle paint scheme, and the stars and bars are very similar in color. There is one that is lighter than the other 3 -  and goes on the top left wing. For 74-113, it is the top one in the column of stars and bars, and for 75-065, it is the right one in the pair below the formation light decals.

The instructions include a comprehensive unit history as well.

You can see some walk around photos here on Tim Hayes site.

Thanks to Two Bobs for the review sample.
