This is my
representation of "Red 1" of the JV-44 Wurger Staffel. Whilst this
subject aircraft has been very popular to build, it represents to me those last
desperate weeks of the Luftwaffe in it's deaththrows. There is so much
reference material for this aircraft as well. This project I've worked on/off
for five years. It has been entirely "riveted" using the MDC system,
which is involves a huge amount of time, but in my mind worth it.

It's received the
following upgrades:
EagleParts cockpit -
just amazing, but not easy to fit. EagleParts gun cowl - lessens that
"Dolly Parton" look of the kit part. EagleParts nose ring. EagleCals
decals. If you want to build an accurate D9, these EagleParts are well worth the
cost and time taken to fit.
-
MDC wheels and
instrument decals.
-
Some Eduard
etched metal parts used in wheel well.
-
Wedgetail prop
blades - have the right chord and diameter.
-
Radu Briznan
seat harness - just lovely.
-
Gunze paints
with oils and pigments used to weather.
