JURASSIC TOP GUN

A Movie 65 Million Years In The Making!

Starring T-Rex, Rip Torn, and Ima Fraid!

As the war on terror continues into its next decade, on a secret island it was discovered a surviving group of dinosaurs. They were most unusual as they had evolved into very intelligent species.  However the T-Rex still maintained his very fierce and highly aggressive traits. The dinosaurs had developed means of monitoring and observing the world of humans.  When the T-Rex's found out that humans had developed the art of flying, they just had to have a go at it. Using some of the retired F-14's, which were modified to accept the single T-Rex body size, a new concept in Top Gun was born. T-Rex brought such a love of flying and aggressive killer instinct, that they soon became the new breed of Top Gun pilots. Whenever the terrorist's heard of the T-Rex dinosaur squadron was in the area, their activities were brought to a stand still.
The tail code for this squadron was decided to be "TR" and VF-65.

This is the 1/72 Hasegawa Bomb Cat done up as I saw in the comic strip Calvin and Hobbs.  I decided that if it was included in the kit it would go on this model. I used a 1/4 inch tube in the model and Plexiglas rod mounted on a base
to display the plane in flight mode. The base also show the cartoon that I used as inspiration for this model.
