1/72 Trumpeter Xían H-6

More than just a model, this mighty Chinese H-6 in a bombing raid escorted by an Academy Fishbed hastily disguised as a J-7 was a home décor statement in a Chinese-themed room.  While moving houses and having removed the furniture, I took the pictures of the model against the naked wall backdrop. (Sorry about the blurry pictures but I had to zoom in).
The kit is very nice, but the instructions are not so informative.  My underside painting is wrong, and the weapons configuration is more than dubious.  Well, it’s my fault, I should have done some research on the internet or simply checked out the article ‘Xían H-6D by Ricardo Cornejo Z.’ on ARC prior to building.

The bomb halves were glued together with a strip of clear film in between. (about 2-3mm wide to keep the bombs from spinning.  The film is common wrapping stuff, try to matt it up).  I am not sure if the kinetics of the bombs falling are right, anyway, I am quite happy with the result.  (Comment from a female visitor: “How lovely! It’s dropping bombs!”)
I hope this may have given you ideas on how to display your next bomber model.  And if you can convince your wife to change your home interior to a Russian or Iraqi style, then you can build one of the other versions proposed in this kit.
