Hi again
everybody, it has been a while since my last posting, but here we go again.
Here's my
Monogram's OS2U-3 Kingfisher finished in Mexican markings, based in
Veracruz, patroling the coast in 1941-1942, I found a very little
info about this particular subject, so it took quite some time for me to
research
and finish this model.
I used neutral
gray on the undersurfaces and olive green on upper surfaces (as any typical
U.S. green-gray airplane). I also used Lone Star resins for
interiors (a lot of it) and Squadron's vacuformed canopy, and a lot of
work re-scribing panel lines.

I used decals
from Zotz's North America set, they include just national insignias for
several countries, so the rudder had to be painted mixing up the red and
green colors until they matched, more or less, with the decal colors.
The panel lines were shadowed using pastels just as with all weathering and some
dirt, I "peeled up" the paint adding some touches of silver
chrome and aluminum with a small brush.
I hope you guys like
it and we're in contact.
Greetings from
Monterrey, Mexico. This Sep 16th we're celebrating our independence day so ˇˇVIVA
MEXICO!!
Alfredo
