1/72 Revell Hawker Hurricane IIc

by Nick England

--------------------

This is only my 2nd completed build this year, a 1/72nd Revell Hawker Hurricane IIc, 336 Squadron, Desert Air Force, Egypt 1944.

Built entirely OOB, with the exception of a strand of hair for the antenna.

These little kits really are great value, and really easy to build. I'm fairly chuffed with it, and out of the 5 kits I've built since returning to the hobby, it's my best yet.

The only gripe I’ve got about the kit is the fit of the wings to the fuselage underneath. There’s a really nasty join, which is difficult to put right as it’s right where the fabric part is.

I used Revell paints (as per the mixes they recommended in the instructions) for the topsides, and Xtracolour Azure Blue (lightened up with a lot of white!), loads of Future, and a home made black chalk wash for the panel lines.

Hope you like it.

Cheers,

Nick
