1/72 PINK P-51B Mustang Racer

I teach sixth grade reading and I recently brought some models to show my students.  Kaycee, one of my best, was disappointed none were pink and challenged me to build one.  Well, I figured no self respecting, macho model builder is going to build an airplane that's PINK, but a challenge is a challenge.  After careful thought I chose the Academy 1/72 Scale Mustang and decided to make it a ficticious racer from the fifties.  To pay homage to Kaycee I thought I would customize it a bit.  I used her favorite number,  "2" and the N number signifies her birthday 2-22-95.  I let her pick the nose art from a few decal selections, see liked the Rebel Queen.  Anyhow, I took it to the NCT in Grapvine on 26 May 07 and it it scored a third place in the civilian category.  I wanted to say thanks to Kaycee for the challenge and getting me to build a unique aircraft.
