1/700 Tamiya Enterprise

This is my 1/700 scale Enterprise. This was my first attempt on a ship. I had enjoyed every moment getting this ship done up. The kit itself is from Tamiya. The mold is actually quite old but quite simple to build.  Everything shown here was just simply built Out-of-the box. Painting was done with lacquer based paints and weathering with pastel colors.

Since this ship is a 1/700 scale.  The painting method of this ship is done streaks by streaks to bring out the effect of it.  It is very time comsuming, but the end result turns out better then I expected.  Weathering was done to enhance the look of the ship.  It was weathered using pastel powder.

For presentation wise for a water-line series, I have done up a simple display base for the ship to make it more presentable.  The base is done using patterned arcylics sheets.  It is double layered with the bottom piece painted deep sea green and the top transluscent blue to simulate the type of sea it is sailing in.  The top piece was further polished with paper to make light reflection on the surface.  The sides was framed up with book binder for further touch up.
