Ecuador Independence Day 2006

This is the 1:72 scale model of the Super Frelon (made by Match); and in spite of the fact that the injection mold quality  is so terrible, with enough patience you can obtain a fairly similar helicopter to the real one.  I had seen several reference pictures of this model and even one not so true of mixed S.A.R. version with the one provided in the box with a pair of the famous "Exocet" missiles; however, I preferred to build the  one with the missiles, without having to move away from the pattern of the real aircraft.

This model represents very well the multi-utilitarian version of this great helicopter used to long by the French Marine, that in occasions, as the here assembled, was used as supporting platform for the launching of the air-earth Exocet missiles, well remembered by the English for his tremendous effectiveness in the Faulkland's war.

The last picture shows to the landed real aircraft, that was wanted to represent.
