1/144 Academy Lancaster

I have 4 or 5 Lancs in the pile, but I'm not a collector!  I found the Arrow Graphics decals at the Valley Hobby Shop in Rothesay NB and just had to finish ONE kit in 2005 (in fact I just finished it this morning :-(. This is the Mk.3 converted to a Mk.X and finished as the earlier version to mimic the Canadian Warplane Heritage museums restoration of RCAF Lanc FW 213 to VR-A of 419 Sqdn in which PO A. Mynarski lost his life and earned the Victoria Cross.

Using an article on a 48th scale build as a reference, I added a very hard to see full cockpit, moved the mid-upper turret forward & replaced the tires (she uses Shackleton wheels & tires, easier to find?) Model Master & Pollyscale acrylics, very slight weathering as befits a museum bird and a simple base from the dollar store.

See the real thing at http://www.warplane.com/ home-page of the CWH Museum in Hamilton.
