1/72 Special Hobby Sack A-6

-The German Not-flying pancake-

Some apocryphal story tells us that, as the German were loosing the war, they decided to have fun fooling around building full size flying beer trays. They didn't manage to make them fly, but apparently they had a blast with the beers.

This Special Hobby kit has some resin bits, engraved panel lines and some flash. Although the parts are finely done, you'll need the sanding stick here. Decals are good and the -trembling knees sound here- vacuformed canopy will need some care and possibly a Buddhist monk around to fit. The original had a sort of trash-chute opening just before the rudder on the back of the plane that Special Hobby -and myself- failed to spot. A simple construction that was up (or side) graded with the addition of a few -and possibly spurious- details. Fun and quick to build.
