    Malaysia National Day 2005

This is a 1/72 scale diorama depicting a low velocity air drop (LVAD) utilising a container delivery system (CDS) during Exercise "Helang Tuah" which was held in 1997. The aircraft depicted is a C-130H Hercules transport aircraft operated by the 20th Squadron of the Royal Malaysian Air Force based at Subang Air Base in Kuala Lumpur. The Hercules aircraft was built using the Italeri kit and the rest were scratch-built. The parachutes were made from actual parachute silk material. The last photo in this article shows a close up of the ground diorama. Hidden in the trees are members of the Path Finder units that preceded this air drop sortie. Note the Air Marker that would usually be set up by these Path Finder units.
