Hello everybody, I'm
back with my second contribution to ARC. This 1/72 F-4E Phantom II is the
old kit from Esci. It has been painted with Gunze and Tamiya acrylic
paints and is my first experience using an airbrush. The model has been
made out of the box with the only exception of the seatbelts which are made from
scratch.

The Esci's kit is
well detailed, it has raised panel lines and some optional parts for different
F-4 models. The only disappointment is the cockpit detailing: just the
seats (not too bad ones), joysticks and decals for the instrument panels.
It has also a few gaps in the seams, but nothing you can't solve with some
putty.
The paint job was
the more difficult part, I had to remove all the paint due to a little accident
with a Revell spray and restart the whole painting. I used water colours
instead of oils to mark the panel lines and pastels to make the dirt effects.
