This is my 1/48 Spitfire Mk 16 E converted from Hasegawa Mk IX C by using the Aeroclub Mk 16 conversion set.  In fact, the Aeroclub set is designed for the Ocidental kit, but it has worked here without problem.

It's finished on the markings of 74th Squadron in Drope-Germany during April of 1945.

Other sets used in this project are:

  • -Some parts of the Eduard Mk 9 cockpit detail set

  • -Ultracast E wing cannon bay covers

  • -Ultracast pilot acces door

  • -Moskit hollow metal exhaust

  • -Squadron vacuform canopy

  • -Xtradecal RAF code number decal set.

All camouflage and interior painting was done by the Gunze Sangyo and Tamiya acrylics, and later weathered by artist oil paint washing.
