YF-29 F-S Wing Fighter

I am currently a college student. I started 3D NURBS modeling during high school for a church building project and felt in love with it ever since. I love it so much that I even took a class for it during my college freshman year. The aircraft took me almost three month to complete. The model was divided into head, fuselage, wings, cockpit and other details like the gears and the canopy. Each part was built separately, and then was brought together for fitting, sounds very similar like building a plastic inject model. Many times I was discouraged by my idealistic demand of building perfectly smooth objects. However the hard work pays off very nicely!

I was inspired by the new S-37 forward swept wing design, and name my aircraft YF-29 after the US’s forward swept wing demonstrator from Northrop. Besides computer 3D modeling, I have also been building real models as well. Crazily enough, I even started a model warships club during my senior year in high school. (1/350 USS Missouri) Currently, I am working on another new aircraft, and already have the sketch drawing done. Hope you enjoy my YF-29 Forward Swept Wing Fighter!!

Enjoy the photos.
