Fiat BR-20 Cicogna, Venezuela Air Force

Continuing with the commemoration in 2020, of the 100 Year Anniversary of the Venezuela Air Force.

The first and only one FIAT BR.20 Cicogna aircraft arrived in Venezuela in 1938, along with the Italian FIAT CR-32 fighters. The Venezuelan Military Aviation (AMV) had the intention of completing a squadron of medium-sized bombers, however with the start of World War II in 1939 and with the participation of Italy in the conflict, it was impossible to make this wish come true.

In 1942 the Fiat BR.20 had an accident, with serious engine failure; but it was impossible to get spare parts for repair due to the war situation in Italy and throughout Europe. The plane was finally rendered inoperative and was dismantled in 1946.

For the construction of this model, I use: "Fiat BR.20 Cicogna" from "Special Hobby" in 1/48 scale. The construction was practically OOB, with very few details in "scratch". The paint applied with an airbrush is from Model Master Acrylic.

The decals are home made, and the weathering was done with colored chalk and graphite pencil, trying to copy the only reference photo I have of this plane.
