Right, sometimes I like to build ships. Sometimes Starships. However you can only build the Enterprise SO many times. I wanted to do something different. Took the old repop of the late 1960s issued Enterprise. A horrible fitting fit. All I used from it was the primary hull, the neck and one warp engine, Everything else is being saved for a future idea.

I cut out the impulse engine and replaced it with clear plastic, painted it clear red. Took out the solid area where the bridge goes. Replaced the intake buzzard with a resin replacement from Federation models. Then added 10 LED lights from the surplus store. The 2 red and 2 green actually blink!

Since I am Canadian, you have to have Canadian named ships. DDE-231 HMCS Huron was chosen as the namesake 31st light destroyer employed by the Federation of Planets, NCC-1231.

Hate to say it, but the photos do not do this model justice. It turned out real nice!
