Something I really like about the old T-bird. Canada used these guys near 60 years. SO many colour schemes. This model represents one of the early ones. 401 squadron, back around 1958 used Silver Stars (T-birds) and Sabres until the government figured reservists could not handle them, and gave them Otters instead.

401 was disbanded years ago, but recently came back to life as a CF-18 squadron at CFB Cold Lake.

The model itself is out of the box, except for a couple Canadian add ons. The decals are the fun part. Leading Edge did this airframe in 1/48, but not 1/32. So I used the 1/48 sheet as a guide. Combining most of a standard 80s scheme CT-133 sheet from Leading Edge. The Roundels, tail and codes from Belcher Bits. The Rams head was a custom job from Canmilair just before that decal company went out of business. The tail stripes and blue bands are painted.
