My second big, 1/32 Trumpeter Super Hornet. Just like the first one the fit is no Tamiya. Putty is required. However, its not quite as bad as the E I built a couple months ago. The underwing join is no doubt the worst user of putty. Many of the larger parts seemed warped outwards which required super glue and clamps to straighten out. In the end however the model and I battled it out, casualties on both sides. However I won the war.

I built this model using Speed Hunter decals. Which co-incidentally came from the same sheet as my past build. Both models are of CVW-8, currently on USS Bush. The real CAG plane of VFA-213 was lost recently with the tragic loss of both crew. It was used mostly on its last cruise as a tanker. So that is how I built it. I have no idea if a resin refuelling tank exists in 1/32. However I have to think it would not be cheap, so I made my own. All I did was cut the tail and nose of the centre line tank. Added a prop out of card board, and a paper cone for the basket. Done, and zero money spent. The two other wing tanks were saved from my VFA-87 build.

Like I said, its no Tamiya shake and bake. However its not so bad, and the decals add some colour.
