Silly Week 2012

Some Facing an increasing hostile local environment, Iran began experimenting with longer range reconnaissance vehicles. Seen here is one that was downed over Nevada in late 2011. Crashing onto the Officers' Golf Course (43rd hole) at Area 52*, it was quickly studied and inspected. The US Air Force even brought in a foreign expert, Ala ad-Din to give them further insights in how it operated, and to hopefully backstep some of the technology involved. It may take almost three years of intensive research to unravel its' secret!

Unfortunately, a "reporter" passing by managed to slip into the base undetected and snap a couple pictures. Fortunately, he worked for the "Irrational Inquisitioner", and while nobody was expecting him, they also didn't believe his story!

I used a carpet from the local DollHouse Store, and a 1/48th scale Air Police Dude from the Testors Area51 S4 Saucer. Tamiya painted were used to make him look less dead. Sadly, I didn't do a very good job on the guy. Oh well, back to the parts bin with him!
