1/72 Academy T-6G Texan

Hello everybody. After about a year of not posting, I’m back again with  this article. This is the 1/72 T-6G Texan kit from Academy. The kit was built out of the box, except that I added scratch built seatbelts which I made with masking tape and thin wire.

Most of the parts fit fine, just I had to do some filling and sanding in some areas.  This was the first time I used Alclad paints to paint all the model, and I liked it. I used Aluminum Alclad II and MM Metalizer paint.

Despite being an Academy kit, decals went just fine. Applied a coat of Metalizer sealer before and after applying decals.  Black and brown pastel chalks were used to weather my model, and finally sealed it with Metalizer sealer again. Regards!
