Dear Fellows:

This is my first article in ARC, thank you Steve for your kind support.

Since I can remember I’m a fan of Ex-soviet a/c and a polish indigenous subject is the perfect choice for an exotic and beautiful scheme.

I started with 1/48-scale resin model of a Polish TS-11 Iskra Prototype No.4, made by Choroszy Models.  This kit has all of the resin parts sealed in bags. Includes 2 vacuform canopies and sheet of decals. The assembly instructions are very basic and a previously meticulous study is required.

Construction is straight and it was very fun to build it, by other hand the original prototype version was discarded when a find a gorgeous photo of a/c nu 2001, and then the real challenge began.

I understand that this scheme was for a very particular date or event, no further information was available (at least to me).

The nose art was reproduced directly with an airbrush. Gunze Sangyo and Tamiya acrylics were used. The model was on my bench for a few months until I made a very, very short run of decals (silk screen) in order to complete this beautiful scheme.

I’m very please with the final result and I hope to build very soon another “ex-soviet-block” subject, maybe an African L-29 Delfin !!
