  Israel Independence Day 2010

Kinetic's 1/48 scale Sufa was built straight out of the box with the exception of True Details ejection seats and IsraCast Python IV's and Hasegawa GBU-10/Mk.84 guided bombs.

To correct the kit's annoying nose down profile, the nose section of the upper half, ahead of the canopy was raised by 1mm. The three forward recessed panel lines of the lower fuselage, ahead of the intake were deepened to enable me to raise the lower forward fuselage upwards. Some of upper fuselage hump panel lines were incorrectly located, leading to the mis-location of the upper antenna/sensor array. Existing panels were filled and new ones rescribed using drawings made by my friend Netanel Darie.

With a bit of effort, Kinetic's 1/48 F-16 series can be a winner. I'm looking forward to their upcoming 1/72 version which I hope has been corrected. An in depth article on building my Sufa appeared in the Volume 31 issue 11 of Scale Aircraft Magazine.
