Lacking freehand skills, I cut a mottle pattern out of a manila folder (lower left), and used Elmer's Tack to hold it off the surface a bit. Came out well for a first try.

I used a 0.3 drafting pencil for the panel lines.

Two pics of the spartan cockpit. Drybrushed, and with a True Details resin seat.

Making a template for the canopy mask using the drawing from the instructions, scanned, scaled and printed out. I used scrap Black Magic masking material.

I painted the fuselage band and masked it. Looks better than a decal, especially being white. A sprue aerial was added after these pics were taken.

Brass rod was used for the cannon. Outboard cannon are deleted to save weight on this example. Pics were taken using a Minolta X-370 and a Vivitar 28-80 macro lens.

EagleCals are awesome! Went down beautifully, and include every little stencil. The kit decals must be thrown away; they're awful.

Not much to the cockpit, but with the canopy closed the important thing is the seat, which is the True Details part.
