This FJ-3M Fury is a Falcon Vac-u-form conversion of the Hobbycraft F-86,6-3 wing kit depicting a Fury with VF-84 embarked on USS Forestall (CVA-59) circa 1956.

The fuselage, tail planes, drop tanks, and canopy are vac-u-form pieces. The wing fences, cockpit details, nose gear, refueling probe, and drop-tank fins are scratch built.

The cockpit deck, seat, intake, tail pipe, wings, missiles, and main landing gear are from the Hobbycraft kit.

The decals are from the spares box, SuperScale letters & numbers sheet, and custom made with a laser printer.

I finished this kit in 1996. My first vac effort; I'm happy with the way it turned out.
