The Model:
This is the AR234 nightfighter by Hobbycraft in 1/48, the only kit available in 48th scale at all.

Building this kit was easy without any bad surprises, cutting out a part of the fuselage for the radar-operators canopy was the only mess. It is build straight out of the box. I would like to do another one with more cockpit details, if I could get one! The Antenna is made by wire and the radar-antenna could be improved like this also....next time. Figures are from Preiser. Diorama selfmade of cartonage and some wood...those "bunker-pics" are shot on location....in my glass-vitrine ;-)

Pilot Hauptmann Geisweid in a discussion with General-Major Blitzke and Major Steffgen about the last night attack on those Lancasters trying to attack the Leuna Oil-Refineries, July, 9th, 1945, Gotha, secret hangar bunker.

"Keine Chance für die 4motorigen!" Hptm. Geisweid alone shot down 7 Lancs this night! The gun-barrels were red of heat....

After refueling the the "Kaeuzchen", like Hptm. Geisweid calls his bird, he gets last instructions on attacking a secret radar-site near Liege, Belgium.
