This new release from
Twobobs
celebrates the Centennial of Naval Aviation with heritage markings for both an
EA-6B and EA-18G from the Vikings of VAQ-129. Included in this decal
sheet is a full set of markings for both aircraft on this sheet and there
two sets of rudder markings for the Prowler that fit both the Monogram and
Kinetic kit.
Each of the Twobobs
Centennial products feature a 3" pressure sensitive sticker of the official
logo of the Centennial of Naval Aviation, which is perfect for a diorama base
for your model.
Twobobs has worked
directly with the US Navy as a licensed provider of decal markings to celebrate
this historic event and was the first decal manufacturer to receive a licensing
agreement with the US Navy!
The aircraft include
the following:
-
EA-6B, BuNo
160609 with VAQ-129 Vikings in January 2011.
The paint scheme is light blue on top and gray on the underside with the
classic national insignia used from WW1 to early WW2. The rudder is
red and white striped which reminds me of the US aircraft in the pre-WW2
time period.
-
EA-18G, BuNo
166899 with VAQ-129 Vikings in January 2011.
The paint scheme is overall 2 tone blue on top with gray underside and a big
thunderbolt artwork on the vertical stabs.

It great to see Centennial of Naval Aviation
paint schemes on the Prowler as
well as the Growler.....I love the makings and paint scheme on the Prowler, but
the Growler also sports one of my favouirte US Naval aviation paint schemes from
WW2 in the Pacific. Both of these jets look exceptional and Twobobs has
pulled together this project in an excellent way.
I would like to thank Twobobs
for this review sample.
This sheet is available through
the Twobobs
website and select US Hobby Shops. Overseas customers can purchase these from
Twobobs site or through Twobobs network of overseas distributors.
