This special sheet from Twobobs includes one of the most historically relevant F-15 Eagles to ever fly.  A/C 76-0084, Celestial Eagle was piloted by Maj. Doug Pearson on 13 Sept. 1985 and launched the ASAT Missile and was able to impact a satellite in orbit.  This decal sheet includes markings for that aircraft as well as A/C 76-0086 which was the second aircraft involved in the ASAT program.

The back of the instruction sheet includes a fascinating read of the full story of the ASAT program.  An interesting side note is the debris from the destroy missile did pose a threat to the planned space station, but the debris did re-enter and burn up before the space station was built.

This sheet gives you 2 versions of F-15C Eagle S/N 76-0084 AFFTC as it appeared on Sept 13 1985 and also how it appeared during 1984-1985.  Both of these version of S/N 76-0084 include the script "Celestial Eagle" as a sort of noseart.

Plus you get full markings for F-15C eagle A/N 76-0086 AFFTC during 1984 - 1985.

There are enough decals to build one of four optional schemes and one complete set of stencil data is also included.

As a bonus, both live and captive carry missile markings are included for the ASM-135A ASAT Missile.  These markings will fit the soon to be released ASAT missile from Twomikes Resin.

The instructions are clear and include 4 views of each aircraft.  The decals are beautifully printed on 1 decal sheet and 2 insert decal sheets.  Paint codes are called out in FS #'s, Testors MM, Humbrol, Gunze Sangyo and Xtracrylics.

The F-15 has always been a very significant aircraft in the USAF inventory and modellers have many reasons for building the F-15 Eagle from it's ample good looks and clean design to it's many historical contributions.  This decal sheet gives you the ability to build one of three F-15's marking it's historical role in military aviation.

Special thanks to Gen Doug Pearson (ret) as well as his son Todd Pearson for all the references on this sheet.  The AFFTC History Office was also very helpful in providing photographic references as well as information from this test program.
