Markings for 4 aircraft:
  • 1. Liberator GR.V (Can), 586-A, 10 (BR) Squadron RCAF, late summer 1943.
  • 2. Liberator GR.V (Can), 595-X, 10 (BR) Squadron RCAF, January, 1944.
  • 3. Liberator GR.V (Can), 600-N, 10 (BR) Squadron RCAF, Summer 1943 & Spring 1945.
  • 4. Liberator GR.V, BZ792-G, 224 Squadron RAF, Summer 1944.

(note: markings are complete for any one of the above, with serials, codes, stencilling and artwork sufficient to finish one model. Both sizes of upper surface roundels are included, depending on RCAF or RAF aircraft.)

Modellers wishing to finish their 1/48 Revell Liberator in Coastal Command Temperate Sea Scheme livery are fortunate that the Canadian company Aviaeology has issued decal sheets facilitating their efforts . This 5" x 8" sheet, with a 5" x 4" sheet of stencils, has national markings for one aircraft, with individual codes, serials and nose-art for any one of the four aircraft listed above

Printing of the sheets is by Microscale, with all of the sharpness, registration and colour fidelity that this implies. Normal decal solvents are recommended, although testing first for compatibility is advised.

Accurate research is a hallmark of Aviaeology . Colours, crew and operational use of the aircraft are thoroughly detailed in the instruction sheets that accompany this product. Also noted in the instructions are the modifications to armament and radar fit carried by individual aircraft, and the availability of after-market resin.

Also available in 1/72 scale, AOD72001.
