This new decal sheet from Cutting Edge Modelworks includes markings for two different 1/48 B-26 Marauders.

The first aircraft is a B-26B-50-MO Marauder with the 344 BG with the 497 BS.  This aircraft was flown out of Stanstead, England in 1944 by Maj. Delwin D. Bentley 497 BS Commander.  This plane is Olive Drab on top and overall bare metal/silver on the underside.  The nose art is different on both sides but features the same lady in a skin tight one piece bathing suit on one side and a one piece body suit on the other side of the nose.  Text next to the nose art reads "Hard To Get".  The artwork for this aircraft has a white decal to go underneath the noseart decal.

The second plane is is a B-26C-40-MO Marauder serial number 42-107534 with the 320 BG with the 441 BS.

This plane appears to be Olive Drab on top and Neutral Grey on the underside.  The nose art features a young lady in a 1940's style short little summer dress with the back hem blowing up as she carries a basket of bombs.  The yellow text beside the nose art reads "Belle Ringer".  This plane has a HUGE number of bomb/mission markings and is quite old and worn by the time it had amassed all these mission markings.  The artwork for this aircraft has a white decal to go underneath the noseart decal.

The noseart decals are delicate and two are included for each plane in case you mess up the first ones.  Exacting instructions are included on how to prepare and install these decals…..read these instructions carefully to avoid disaster.  Apparently these noseart decals are very thin and need special care, but once installed they will look very accurate and realistic.  The nose art decals are printed on a one piece decal sheet, so you’ll need to cut the decal free from the rest of the decal film…..patience is the key here.  The noseart decal is beautifully printed with fantastic detail and lovely shading.  The rest of the decals are the usual high quality.

The instructions are clear and include 2 views of each aircraft and an extra 2 pages of text instructions showing decal placement is included with a small bit of info about both the planes as well as helpful tips for decal application.

A very nice decal sheet and  sure to please the lucky 300 people that manage to buy one of these limited edition sheets.
