--------------------

This sheet includes markings 2 different OV-10 Mohawks.  This sheet if designed for the 1/48 Roden OV-1A Mohawk kit.

The first aircraft included on this decal sheet is a Grumman OV-1A Mohawk s/n 60-3740 from Ft. Rucker, Alabama in 1984.  This plane was built in July 1961 and in operation until March 1984.

After that is became a maintenance training aircraft at Ft Eustis.  It was finally declared surplus and slated to be destroyed as a ground target at Aberdeen proving ground.  But a group of museum volunteers lead by John Vanderhave got permission to restore the aircraft and put it on display at the New Jersey Aviation Hall of Fame in Teterboro, NJ.  If you have experience working on this type of aircraft please contact Jeff Herne (Director, NJAHOF at 201-288-6344 or e-mail him at director@njahof.org

The second  aircraft is a Grumman OV-1A Mohawk s/n 61-2709 with the 23rd Special Warfare Aviation Detachment in Vietnam in 1963.

The decals are contained on 1 decal sheet and are flawlessly printed and in perfect register.

The 2 pages of instructions include 4 view colour drawings showing decal placement.  Paint colours are listed in FS#'s as well as Humbrol, Testors, Gunze Sangyo and Xtracolor.

A very interesting decal sheet and good to see a sheet on this lesser known aircraft.  I'd like to thank Twobobs for the review sample.
