Condor Decals from Argentina get also involved in the "rediscovering" of the F-8 Crusader with his recent release:

#72008/9 F-8 Crusader "The Last Gunfighter"

It includes 3 complete versions, without stencils or national insignia: F8U-2 (F-8C) VF-84; F-8E VF-24; F-8H VF-111.

Two of this versions are already very known, but the VF-84 option is today the only one released in 1/72nd scale.

In difference respect to the sample images, the decal sheet is printed over a white background, and the instruction sheet is printed in black and white; anyway they can be obtained in color downloading them from the official Condor Decals web site:

One note about the VF-84 option: the differences it has in comparison with the old 1/48th Super Scale sheet, or even with the recent 1/48th Cutting Edge release - black and yellow stripes in the horizontal stabilizers - have been verified from photos taken from the Detail & Scale book on this plane (In fact, the represented aircraft is the one from the cover of that book).

Condor Decals now has a new design with a thinner film which allow them to blend perfectly to the surface of the model. This particular set of decals have been developed from the Hasegawa and Heller kits; their excellent register and colour density, and their accurate details give us the chance of modeling some of the most colorfuls Crusaders ever.
