Good
news for all 1/32 Viper builders. Some of the most colorful nose
art relating to post 9-11 F-16's is now available in 1/32 scale.
The
389th Fighter Squadron from Mountain Home AFB, Idaho deployed to the
Middle East in support of Operation Enduring Freedom shortly after 9/11.
They were the first unit to operationally use the Wind Corrected
Munitions Dispenser in combat and used these to great effect against
Taliban troops and the light skinned armor they encountered during their
deployment. The 389th flies the Block 52 version of the Viper.
There
are enough decals on this sheet to build one complete jet from this unit
but options for one of five different A/C. Weapons loadout
information is also included on the instruction sheet so you can load up
your Viper with the correct weapons loadout for their missions over
Afghanistan.
