This is a new decal sheet from Cutting Edge Modelworks.  This 1/32 scale decal sheet includes decals for the 1/32 F-105 from Trumpeter.

There is one plane featured on this decal sheet..... "Pussy Galore I" with some huge nudie nose art.  The name for this jet came from the James Bond movie Gold Finger.

This aircraft is a F-105D-31-RE flown by Capt Vic Vizcarra of the 80th TFS.  The nose art was created to help give the mid-air refueler boom operators on the tankers a better target for the boom.......it seems the boom operators were more used to refuelling the sluggish B-52's and were having difficulties refuelling the F-105.  This particular jet was eventually repainted in SEA camo and the nose art was painted over.

A second plane flown by Capt Vic Vizcarra was given similar nose art and this jet was named "Pussy Galore II".  The triangle of blonde hair is a separate decal to give the modeler the option of making this nose art more politically correct to satisfy wives and young kids that may be offended by the nose art.  See Cutting Edge decal sheet CED48179.

The decals were flawlessly printed and the clear carrier film is trimmed close to the crisply printed colored areas.  These jets were not actually bare metal but instead had a very diluted silver type paint applied to them.  The two pages of text instructions goes into great detail about how to correctly paint this F-105.

"Pussy Galore I" was shot down over Mu Gia Pass on April 10 1967 and the pilot of that mission (Major John O'Grady) is still listed as MIA.

The instructions are clear and easy to follow.  There is 5 pages of instructions in all......3 of them are to the right.  Instructions for decal application are also included in the text instruction sheet.

A very nice product and highly recommended.

I would like to thank Cutting Edge Modelworks for providing me with this review sample.
