1/48 Hasegawa Typhoon Mk.1B

I built this kit straight out of the box, the kit fit together very nicely and requires almost no filler and you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into how the kit is put together. The cockpit is fairly detailed so all I needed to do was add seatbelts which I did using strips of electrical tape and the canopy is thinner than most which is a bonus.

The only down-side kit wise is the fact that the decals are very thick and tend to silver. I decided to airbrush my stripes rather than use the decals provided and I think that this has turned out for the best. I have also lightly weathered the model using the pro modeller black weathering wash, however the flash doesn't really show this which is a shame.  I also used pastels to do a little weathering around the exhaust and in the wheel wells.

This is my first model submission to ARC, this kit was very enjoyable to build although airbrushing the stripes was an absolute nightmare. I hope you like the pictures!
