Here is my
Hawker Typhoon Ib by Hasegawa. I added dropped flaps by Eduard (very
fine and delicate to assemble!) and put together the squadron codes from a
Tally Ho set. Eduard photo-etch was used for the interior (all
but invisible). RAF camo and D-Day stripes were airbrushed
with Gunze and Tamiya acrylics. I used the oil-wash technique for
the panel lines and various stains with some additional dirtying-up
with pastels.

The kit went
together flawlessly although I took extra care with the join between the
upper wing halves and the fuselage wing root. These were attached
first before adding the lower wing section. The result solved the
gap problem sometimes mentioned with this kit. Care also needs to be
taken with chin air intake to elimnate the inside seam. Otherwise
a great model, very well engineered.
Markings are for a
rocket firing Typhoon of No 137 Squadron in Eindhoven, Winter 1944/45.
Hope you like it.
Colin
