The kit used is the
Hasegawa 1/48 F/A-18D Night Hornet. A Black Box cockpit and upgrade set
provided parts, such as the GPS antenna, antenna blades, and nose gear door, to
make a more accurate TUDM Hornet. I scratch built the twin ALE-47 Counter
Measures Dispensers using plastic strip and p/e grids from the kit and an Eduard
detail set. Other details added are scratch built canopy latches and
Eduard data placards.

The overall Gunship
Grey is Aeromaster with other paints used being Floquil and Testors. All
enamels. A light water color wash was used to provide some panel
highlighting and subtle weathering.
Decals are by F-4Dable Models and went on very well using the Micro Set/Sol
method..
A big thank you must
go to my friend Bud Saaid, who sent me the decals as well as numerous photos of
the real TUDM F-18s, and Jason Cheah of F-4Dable Models for sending me more
photos and much useful information on details unique to the Malaysian Hornets.
